Sicce build the XStream for salt water and fresh water alike. The magnetic holder takes glass up to 20 mm thick and grips on dirty glass, and the pump rotates a full 360° in its mount so the flow can be aimed anywhere.

It runs on 220–240 V / 50 Hz, which is Indian mains.

This is a fixed-speed pump. There is no controller, no app and no speed setting — you aim it and it runs. The programmable, Wi-Fi, app-controlled version of this pump is a different product, the XStream SDC, which is a 12 V unit supplied with its own controller. If you want wave programs and scheduling, that is the model to ask about, not this one.

In-water use only, indoors. Sicce state the XStream is designed for indoor use and is not suitable for outdoor applications, and it is not an inline or return pump.

What Sicce do not publish for this model:

• A recommended tank-volume range (Sicce publish these for the Voyager line but not for XStream)
• A noise figure
• Pump dimensions or weight
• Maximum head — the XStream is a stream pump, and Sicce do not rate it for head at all

Those rows are not on Sicce’s specification table or in the instruction manual for this pump, so we have left them blank rather than fill them in from a similar model. If one of them decides your purchase, ask us before ordering and we will put the question to Sicce.

Setup & Use

Sicce’s own installation sequence:

1. Check the pump over for damage.
2. Clean the aquarium glass where the pump is going.
3. Separate the outer magnet holder from the inner one by taking out the separator magnet between them.
4. Fit the anti-vibration rubber case onto the inner magnet holder.
5. Submerge the pump fully, holding it vertical, so trapped air escapes from the rotor — skip this and it will rattle on start-up.
6. Keep the pump clear of the surrounding panes, and away from the sand and gravel at the bottom, or you will get resonance and a rotor full of grit.
7. Position the pump where you want it with the inner holder flat against the glass.
8. Bring the outer magnet up to the glass starting about 10 cm / 3.9 inches from the centre of the inner holder and slide it across until you feel the pull, then line the two centres up on the same axis. Keep hands and fingers clear — these magnets are strong enough to break glass.
9. Turn the pump to aim the flow.
10. Plug it in last.

Cleaning. Unplug the pump and take it out of the tank. Pull the pre-filter grid off the pump body with light pressure on its sides, rotate the front anticlockwise and remove the rotor. Clean the parts in fresh water, or with a soft brush and soap or vinegar, then rinse everything well before it goes back in the tank. On reassembly, make certain the small black O-ring is seated properly in the grid. Hard water or heavy detritus means cleaning more often.

Safety & Precautions

• Always isolate the pump from the mains before installing it or doing any maintenance. Sicce require the supply to run through a residual current device (RCD) rated at no more than 30 mA.
• The pump has a type Z cable link. Neither the cable nor the plug can be replaced or repaired — if either is damaged the whole pump has to be replaced. Do not run it with a damaged cord or plug, or after it has been dropped or has started misbehaving.
• Never run it without water in the impeller chamber. Running dry damages the motor and is not covered by warranty.
• Rated for liquids and surroundings up to 35 °C / 95 °F. Do not use it with corrosive or abrasive liquids, and do not use it for anything other than the applications Sicce list — bathroom and similar uses are specifically excluded.
• Leave a drip loop in the cable: the lowest point of the cord must sit below the socket so water running down it drips off rather than reaching the outlet.
• Never lift or carry the pump by its cord during installation or maintenance.
• Not to be used by children, or by anyone who needs supervision, without a responsible adult present.
• Indoor use only. Sicce state that the XStream is not suitable for outdoor applications.
• The mounting magnets are strong. Keep them away from blades, sharp objects and other magnets — they will snap metal objects towards themselves hard enough to injure you.
• Keep the magnets at least 30 cm / 12 inches away from pacemakers, credit cards, keys and anything else sensitive to a magnetic field. Sicce warn that the damage to electronics can be permanent.
• Never bring the two halves of the mount together directly. Hold them only by their outer faces and keep fingers out from between them — done wrong, this breaks aquarium glass and crushes fingers.
• Magnets that are taken above 50 °C / 122 °F can lose some or all of their holding power permanently.

The cord carries Sicce’s chewsafe spiral cover as standard, which is worth knowing if you keep anything with teeth.

Sicce do not print an itemised scope of delivery for this product. The list below is built from the numbered components in Sicce’s own instruction manual for it, and from the parts Sicce sell separately as accessories rather than supply in the box. If something on it is missing from your carton, tell us and we will take it up with the distributor.

Warranty & Support

Sicce warrant this pump for 3 years from the date of purchase against defects in material and workmanship, extended to 5 years if you register the product with Sicce.

Warranty support is handled by us directly. Message our WhatsApp support with your order number and we will diagnose the fault first. Most cases are solved by replacing a single part, so you rarely need to send the whole unit. If the item does need to come back, it ships to our Delhi or Pune warehouse, whichever one served your order, and courier cost in both directions is borne by the customer. Your GST invoice is valid proof of purchase for the claim.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 48 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
