The Jecod DMP 40 Wavemaker is the largest of the Jecod DMP series, part of the Aquarium Wavemakers range at IndieFur.

Check your glass thickness before ordering — both ends of that range matter. Jebao quote a minimum as well as a maximum, and the DMP-40M needs at least 8 mm of glass for the magnet coupling to hold. Too thick and the magnet cannot reach through; too thin and the coupling is not damped enough for the drive to run properly. Measure the pane you intend to mount on, not the tank’s thickest pane — a rimless tank is often thinner at the back than at the front.

Freshwater and saltwater both. Jebao list the DMP series for either.

The motor sits outside the tank. That is the point of the DMP design: the wet end in the aquarium contains no electronics at all, so there is no sealed motor to fail and nothing electrical in the water. It does mean you need clearance on the outside of the glass for the drive unit, so check the gap between the tank and the wall or the cabinet upright before you commit to a position.

Running more than one. The DMP series supports wireless master-slave control — set one controller as master and the others as slave, and the group runs one wave programme together. Mixing DMP sizes in a group is how you get an unequal flow pattern across a wider tank.

Control: the supplied controller has an LCD display, and the pump also runs from a phone or tablet over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Jebao’s app for their smart range is Jebao Aqua, on the App Store and Google Play.

Noise: a four-pole motor driven by sine-wave control, which is what makes this quieter than a squarewave-driven pump of the same output — worth having if the tank is in a living room.

Warranty & Support

This product is covered by warranty as per the manufacturer policy, against material and manufacturing defects from the date of purchase.

Warranty support is handled by us directly. Message our WhatsApp support with your order number and we will diagnose the fault first. Most cases are solved by replacing a single part, so you rarely need to send the whole unit. If the item does need to come back, it ships to our Delhi or Pune warehouse, whichever one served your order, and courier cost in both directions is borne by the customer. Your GST invoice is valid proof of purchase for the claim.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
