Many popular tropical aquarium fish come from rocky underwater landscapes. Our Rocky and River backgrounds provide cichlids, catfish, tetras, and other aquarium fish with a naturally structured habitat. In combination with pieces of rock, driftwood and aquatic plants you can create highly attractive underwater landscapes.

Setup & Use

What it is. Back to Nature’s own description: a “very smart rock background”. The slim structure carries a protruding ledge along one side, which (depending on how it’s fitted into the tank) reads as either an overhang or a stepped terrace once installed. It’s the rock-textured sibling of the River background, built on the same ledge design.

Who makes it. Back to Nature AB, Sweden, part of Back to Nature Holding GmbH (Germany) since 2010. The surface is finished in natural rock pigment, needs no epoxy resin topcoat before going into freshwater or saltwater, and is hardened against rasping algae-eaters like catfish.

Back to Nature publish a 20 cm depth on the two other Rocky lengths we could verify directly against their own site (130 cm and 160 cm); we could not find a published depth figure for this 120 cm cut specifically, so no number is given here rather than guess one.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 48 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
