Back to Nature Amazonas Background 100 x 50 cm

Our Amazon backgrounds have been modeled on amazing, real 3D landscapes. Driftwood and tree stumps play a very important role in the natural aquatic biotopes in the region. The Amazon in the north of South America is home to numerous popular aquarium fish. We modeled our fascinating underwater landscapes on the typical biotopes of the region. The Amazonas backgrounds by Back to Nature unite driftwood, tree stumps and natural rock formations in intricate designs, the very picture of nature.

Setup & Use

Who makes it. Back to Nature AB, Sweden, part of Back to Nature Holding GmbH (Germany) since 2010, the same workshop that hand-finished the original Amazonas background shown at Interzoo in 1994. The surface takes its colour from natural rock pigment rather than paint, so batches can vary slightly. Back to Nature’s own note is that these differences settle in and disappear once biofilm and aquarium lighting take over, typically within days.

No pretreatment needed. Unlike some background makers, Back to Nature backgrounds don’t need an epoxy resin topcoat before going into the tank; they’re rated straight out of the box for freshwater and saltwater aquariums and for terrariums, and are hardened enough to withstand rasping algae-eaters like catfish.

Back to Nature publish a 21 cm depth on every other Amazonas length we could verify (120, 130, 150, 160 and 200 cm); we could not find a published depth figure for this 100 cm cut specifically, so no number is given here rather than guess one.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 48 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
