Setup & Use

What it is. The slim, seamless panel version of a Back to Nature background: flat rather than sculpted in relief, sized to run alone in a narrow spot or to combine with other Slimline sections across a wider back glass.

Who makes it. Back to Nature AB, Sweden, part of Back to Nature Holding GmbH (Germany) since 2010, hand-finishing every panel the way the company has since its first Amazonas background debuted at Interzoo in 1994. The surface takes its colour from natural rock pigment rather than paint, so no epoxy resin topcoat is needed before use, in freshwater or saltwater alike, and the material is built to outlast the tank. Panels cast in 1989 are still reported in service.

Fitting it. Cut from the back with a sharp thin-bladed knife or a fine saw. The panel is strong but easy to cut cleanly; score the same line five to ten times and snap off the excess rather than trying to cut through in one pass. Slimline sections share matching straight edges so several pieces interlock into one continuous back wall; only the final edge against the side glass needs trimming. Fix it with aquarium silicone, either a full frame or 10 to 30 good-sized dabs across the back, with the top edge sitting roughly 5 mm above where the finished water level will be, and leave it 24 hours before filling the tank.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 48 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
