Specifications
Catit item no. 43752.
Reservoir capacity: about 2.9 L / 1.2 kg of dry food (98 fl oz / 2.6 lb). Catit reckon a full reservoir feeds one adult cat for roughly two weeks.
Size: 32 × 19.1 × 34.2 cm (12.5 × 7.5 × 13.4 in). Weight: 1,670 g / 3.68 lb.
Power: DC 5 V, 1 A input over USB-C. Average draw is about 0.4 W idle and around 1 W while dispensing.
Battery back-up: a compartment for 4 × C/LR14 cells (not included), giving about 58 hours of power through a blackout. Rechargeable cells can be used, but the feeder will not charge them — it has no charging function.
Wi-Fi: built in, 2.4 GHz only. It will not join a 5 GHz network.
Portions: the impeller inside has five compartments, each one portion. Up to 12 meals a day can be scheduled, with a chosen number of portions per meal.
Dish: high-grade stainless steel in a holder, shaped wide and shallow to keep pressure off the whiskers. Dishwasher-safe.
Food freshness: a rubber sealing ring in the lid closes the reservoir airtight, and a desiccant pack sits in a holder in the centre of the lid.
Indicators and controls: status LED, Wi-Fi LED, an instant-feed button (PIXI's nose — it can be disabled in the app if your cat learns to press it), and a food-level sensor that triggers a low-food notification.
Anti-jam: if the impeller meets an obstruction it reverses automatically to clear it.
Compatibility
Dry cat food only. Catit's manual is explicit: this appliance has been evaluated for dry cat food only. Do not use it with wet food, and do not use it with food intended for people.
Pellet size: up to 9 mm (0.4 in) in diameter or thickness. This is the number to check before you order. Measure the kibble you actually feed — a larger pellet will not pass the impeller reliably. Treats within the same size limit work too.
Pellet shape and density change the numbers. Catit note that the size and density of the pellets affect both how much the reservoir holds and how big each dispensed portion is. The 2.9 L / 1.2 kg capacity and the five-portion impeller are measured on a standard pellet; with a much larger or much lighter food you will get different amounts, so weigh a portion once and calibrate your schedule to it.
Network: a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. Many modern routers broadcast 2.4 and 5 GHz under one name; if the feeder will not pair, splitting the bands or temporarily disabling 5 GHz is the usual fix.
App: the free Catit PIXI app, on the App Store and Google Play. There are no in-app purchases. The same app runs the rest of the Catit PIXI Smart range, and the feeder can be shared with family members so more than one person can see and trigger feedings.
Power: any 5 V 1 A USB source. See What's in the Box below regarding the mains adapter.
Indoor use only.
Safety & Precautions
From Catit's manual. This is a mains-powered appliance, so the electrical instructions matter.
Dry cat food only. The feeder has been evaluated for dry cat food and nothing else — not wet food, not food for people. Using attachments that Catit do not sell or recommend can create an unsafe condition.
Indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Keep it out of direct sunlight, and never install or store it anywhere it will be exposed to freezing temperatures.
Stand it on a flat, even surface, and check on it regularly.
Unplug it before you take it apart. Always unplug or disconnect it from the outlet before fitting or removing parts, and while installing, maintaining or handling it. Pull the plug, never the cord, and never lift the appliance by the cord.
Water and electricity. Catit ask that the outlet always sit above the level of the appliance. If water reaches parts that are not meant to be wet, do not plug it in. If a plug or outlet does get wet, do not pull the plug — switch off the fuse or breaker feeding it first, then unplug and check.
Do not repair it yourself. If it functions abnormally, disconnect the supply cord. Do not run it with a damaged cord or plug, or after it has been dropped or damaged. A damaged supply cord must be replaced by the manufacturer, their service agent, or a similarly qualified person — never cut it.
Do not touch moving parts while it is running.
Children. Not intended for use by children under 8, or by people with significantly impaired physical or mental capabilities, without supervision or instruction from someone responsible for their safety. Children should not clean or maintain it, and should be supervised so they do not play with it.
Batteries. The feeder cannot charge them — take rechargeable cells out before charging, and never try to recharge non-rechargeable ones. Do not mix new with used cells or different types. Observe polarity. Do not short the terminals or let metal objects bridge them, do not use damaged or modified cells, keep them away from excessive heat, and take them out if the feeder will be unused for a long period. Dispose of used cells properly.
Extension leads: if one is necessary, make the connection watertight and dust-proof, use a cord rated for at least the appliance's current, and route it so it cannot be tripped over or pulled.
Disposal: this is electrical equipment (WEEE) and should go to a proper collection point rather than in household waste.
What's in the Box
Catit's manual lists the feeder as: the lid (with the desiccant pack holder), a desiccant pad, the food reservoir (containing the food-level sensor and the five-compartment impeller), the feeder base (button, status LED, Wi-Fi LED, food outlet), the stainless steel dish, the food dish holder, and a USB-C cable. The accessories are packed inside the reservoir — twist the lid off and take them out before you set it up.
Batteries are not included. The back-up compartment takes 4 × C/LR14 cells and Catit recommend fitting them, since without them a power cut stops the feeding schedule.
About the mains adapter. Catit's manual lists a 5.0 V / 1.0 A / 5.0 W adapter as part no. 8 of the contents, but the note on this listing states that the charging adapter is not included — plug types vary by market and the unit we receive may be supplied without one. Plan on using your own: any standard 5 V 1 A USB charger will run it, and the USB-C cable is in the box. If yours arrives with an adapter, treat it as a bonus, and if you would like us to confirm before ordering, message us on WhatsApp.
