How to use:
The first step is to prepare the base food mix, the ingredients will depend on the type of the fish (whether it is herbivore, omnivore, or carnivore). For example, African cichlids will need more vegetables than discus or scare fish. As an example for discus Prepare cleaned 850g Beefheart cubes add 50g of blanched spinach and mince in a meat grinder. Take 900-950g of the base mix and add the content of one Nutriboost package (90g) to it gradually while continuously mixing it. After completely mixing the Nutriboost powder into the mix divide it into sealable plastic food bags and flatten them out to a maximum thickness of 3 mm.
And store it in the freezer. It can last for 3 months in the freezer.

Feeding Guide

Ruby is the red-fish version of Nutriboost. DiscusX head
this one “For red color fish”. Everything below is their method, and
it is the same for all four colours in the range.

This is an additive, not a food. Nutriboost is a powder
that goes into a homemade mix. It is not fed on its own, and it does not
replace the mix — it is what you stir through the mix to carry the
vitamins, minerals, pigment and binders that minced ingredients on their own
do not.

The ratio DiscusX give. One Nutriboost pack into
900 to 950 g of base mix, added gradually while you keep
mixing rather than dumped in at once. That works out at roughly one part
powder to ten parts mix by weight.

Their worked example, for discus. Take
850 g of cleaned beef heart cubes and
50 g of blanched spinach and put them through a meat
grinder. That is your 900 g base. What goes into the base changes with
what you keep — DiscusX’s point is that the plant-to-animal balance has
to match the fish, and that African cichlids want more vegetable matter in the
mix than discus do.

Freezing. Divide the finished mix into sealable food bags
and flatten each one to no more than 3 mm thick before
it goes in the freezer. Thin and flat is not fussiness: it is what lets you
snap off a day’s worth without thawing the lot. It keeps
three months frozen.

Feeding. Break off a portion for the day, thaw it
in the fridge, and feed once it has thawed — as much as
the fish clear in three to five minutes. Thawed feed keeps
two days in the fridge and no longer.

One thing to check on your pack. DiscusX write the mixing
instruction above around a 90 g pack, and that figure is
printed in the same paragraph on all four colours. The Nutriboost packs their
European distributor lists are 95 g. If the tin you
receive is 95 g, either weigh out 90 g for a 900 g mix or scale
the base mix up to about 950 to 1,000 g — the ratio is what
matters, not the number. We have asked our supplier to confirm which fill our
stock carries and will put the answer on this page.

What DiscusX do not publish. A dose in grams per fish or
per tank, a feeding frequency for the finished mix, and — more usefully
— what actually differs between Platinum, Ruby, Sapphire and Gold. The
ingredient list they print is identical for all four; only the colour line at
the top changes. The difference is theirs to explain and they have not, so we
have not guessed at it.

Composition & Analysis

Ingredients, as DiscusX print them. Multi-vitamins,
multi-minerals, chelated amino acids, astaxanthin extract from
Haematococcus pluvialis, spirulina, garlic extract, DHA, acidifiers,
probiotics, multi-ingredient immune stimulants and natural binders.

Two notes on that list, since it is reproduced from DiscusX’s own text.
They print “cheated amino acids”, which is a typo for
chelated — amino acids bonded to a mineral so the fish
absorbs the mineral more readily — and they print “probiotics” twice in
a row. Neither changes what is in the pack. We have corrected the spelling and
dropped the repeat rather than copy them across.

What the named ingredients are there to do. Astaxanthin
from Haematococcus pluvialis is the red carotenoid, and it is the
ingredient behind the colour claim on this product and on the rest of the
range. Spirulina brings its own pigments and protein. The acidifiers are what
sits behind DiscusX’s claim that the additive lowers gut pH and suppresses
pathogenic bacteria there. DHA is a long-chain omega-3. The natural binders
are what hold a homemade mix together in the water instead of letting it cloud
the tank.

No guaranteed analysis is published. DiscusX give no
protein, fat, fibre, ash or moisture figure for Nutriboost, and no inclusion
rate for any ingredient — including the astaxanthin, which is the one
figure a keeper buying a colour additive would want. They do not name the
vitamins or the minerals, the probiotic strains or their counts, the source of
the DHA, or the preservative system. Where a number would be useful here, we
have left the gap visible rather than fill it in.

The same list across the range. The ingredients DiscusX
publish for Ruby are word for word the ingredients they publish for Platinum,
Sapphire and Gold. Whatever separates the four colours is not in the published
composition.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number — or email us, if you would rather — and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.

Freshness & Storage

Every batch we dispatch carries a minimum of 6 months’ remaining shelf life. Store this product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap or inner foil closed tightly after each use.
