Compatibility

Water type. Freshwater planted aquariums. Ferro is in Easy-Life’s freshwater plant food range.

What it is for. Iron in a form plants can absorb easily. Iron is what makes chlorophyll, so a shortage shows up as yellowing leaves — chlorosis. Easy-Life point out that a tank with fast-growing plants in it has a good chance of running short, which is when Ferro earns its place.

Where it sits in the range. Ferro is a single-element supplement, not a complete fertiliser. Easy-Life’s published schedules use it as an addition to ProFito rather than instead of it: their everyday Type I aquarium runs ProFito weekly with no Ferro at all, while their heavily planted Type II aquarium adds a full dose of Ferro mid-week on top of the ProFito. If your leaves are not yellowing, you may not need it.

With the rest of the Golden Triangle. Easy-Life treat light, CO2 and nutrients as one system: iron will not fix growth that is actually short of carbon, nitrate or phosphate. Their target ranges are NO3 5–10 mg/l and PO4 0.5–1.0 mg/l for a normal tank, and NO3 15–20 mg/l with PO4 1.0–1.5 mg/l for a strongly lit plant tank.

Dose effect. Easy-Life give 5 ml per 100 litres weekly, which raises the iron concentration by 0.5 mg/l (0.5 ppm). That is a known increment, so you can test and correct rather than guess.

Filtration. Fluid Filter Medium and EasyStart should be dosed separately from fertilisers — they can pull ingredients out of other additives. Add them first, let the water clear, then dose Ferro.

Freshness & Storage

Every batch we dispatch carries a minimum of 6 months’ remaining shelf life. Store this product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap or inner foil closed tightly after each use.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
