EHEIM makes separate 50 Hz and 60 Hz impellers for this filter. They are not interchangeable, and fitting the wrong one gives poor flow and a noisy pump.

What’s in the Box

One impeller. The ceramic shaft and its rubber bushings are a separate EHEIM part — order those too if the old shaft is scored or the bushings have hardened, because a new impeller on a worn shaft will still rattle.

Setup & Use

Unplug the filter and close both taps before opening anything. Lift the pump head, unclip the impeller cover, and draw the old impeller straight out.

Check the shaft while it is apart: run a fingernail along it, and if you can feel a groove, replace it. Seat the new impeller on the shaft, refit the cover, and prime the filter before switching on.

Rinse the impeller and its chamber at every canister service. Most impellers that get replaced were not worn out — they had a coating of sludge and a hair of silicone grit in the bearing.

Compatibility

Fits the EHEIM classic 600 (2217) and the pumps that share its head — the 2317, 1217 and 1717.

It does not fit the classic 250 (2213) or classic 350 (2215), which take their own smaller impellers. Check the model number on your filter, not the tank size, before ordering.

Safety & Precautions

Always unplug the filter before opening the pump head. Close the taps first or the canister will siphon the tank onto the floor.

The shaft is ceramic and snaps if it is forced or levered — support it and slide the impeller on straight. Do not run the pump dry to test it after reassembly; prime it first.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number — or email us, if you would rather — and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
