Compatibility

It fits 16 mm hose. ISTA make the Glass CO2 Diffuser in exactly two sizes — IF-561 for 16 mm and IF-560 for 12 mm — and those are the two common canister-filter hose diameters. Measure the hose on your filter’s outlet before you order, because the two are not interchangeable.

It goes in-line on the filter’s outlet, not on the intake. The whole design depends on the filter’s return flow carrying the mist into the tank; on the intake side you would be feeding CO2 into the filter body, where it collects as an air pocket and kills the impeller’s prime.

You still need a regulator and a check valve upstream. This is the diffusing end of a CO2 line and nothing else: no counter, no valve, no pressure control. Cylinder, regulator or controller, bubble counter, check valve, then this.

ISTA describe it only as high quality hand-made glass, with no published dimensions, no ceramic disc diameter and no tank-size rating. Hand-made is also why two units of the same article number are not identical to the millimetre.

Treat the glass as glass. Warm the hose end in hot water before pushing it on, secure the joint with a cable tie, and cut the hose off rather than pulling it when the time comes to remove it.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
