Iron is of no importance in fish only aquaria; however, iron over 0.5 mg/L may be toxic to some species and should be avoided. Under normal conditions, iron is virtually impossible to maintain at measurable concentrations in seawater. Natural seawater concentration for iron is about 0.01 mg/L. Iron is important in planted aquaria and should be maintained between 0.1 to 0.2 mg/L.

MultiTest Iron measures both ionic and most chelated iron in freshwater or marine water to less than 0.05 mg/L. It performs over 75 tests and contains a reference sample for validation.

Specifications

Seachem’s own spec. Measures iron from 0 to 2.0 mg/L, with detectable colour-chart changes in 0.05 mg/L increments. Suitable for both freshwater and marine aquaria, and reads both ionic and most chelated iron forms.

What’s in the Box

Over 75 tests per kit. Iron Reagent, an Iron Reference sample, a spoon and sample pipette, a low-range cuvette, the Iron colour chart (5 cm viewing window), a multi-cavity test plate, and instructions.

Setup & Use

How to run it. Place your sample in the opaque multi-cavity test plate, add the Iron Reagent, and compare against the colour chart. Seachem notes the timing differs by iron form: roughly 20 minutes to read EDTA-chelated iron, under 2 minutes for non-EDTA iron.

Freshness & Storage

Every batch we dispatch carries a minimum of 6 months’ remaining shelf life. Store this product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap or inner foil closed tightly after each use.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 48 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
