What’s in the Box

What it is. Plant Pack: Fundamentals is Seachem’s starter kit for a new planted aquarium: one 100 mL bottle each of Flourish, Flourish Iron and Flourish Excel, covering the three basics a beginner tank usually needs: broad-spectrum trace elements, iron, and a carbon source.

Where this sits in the Seachem range. Seachem positions this pack specifically for beginning aquatic gardeners. It’s the entry point into the wider Flourish line, not a substitute for the full range once a tank’s needs get more specific. The macro-nutrients (NPK) are a separate pack, Plant Pack: Enhancer NPK.

Composition & Analysis

Flourish. A comprehensive trace-element supplement: gluconate iron, manganese, calcium, magnesium, potassium, plus inositol, choline, B12 and biotin. Deliberately light on nitrogen and phosphorus.

Flourish Iron. A concentrated ferrous (Fe2+) iron complex at 10,000 mg/L (1% Fe per gram), built on ferrous gluconate so the iron stays soluble and usable by plants without needing conversion from the ferric form.

Flourish Excel. A bioavailable organic carbon source, chemically similar to a photosynthetic intermediate, that supplements or substitutes for CO2 injection.

Dosage & Directions

Flourish: 1 capful (5 mL) per 250 L (60 US gallons), once or twice a week.

Flourish Iron: 1 capful (5 mL) per 200 L (50 US gallons), or as needed to maintain around 0.10 mg/L iron. A standard dose raises iron by roughly 0.25 mg/L. Plants take up iron fast, so Seachem recommends testing with its Iron MultiTest within 30 minutes of dosing for an accurate read.

Flourish Excel: 1 capful (5 mL) per 40 L (10 US gallons) on first use or after a water change over 40%; thereafter 1 capful per 200 L (50 US gallons) daily or every other day for maintenance.

Each bottle’s cap thread measures roughly 1 mL, for dosing below a full capful.

Freshness & Storage

Every batch we dispatch carries a minimum of 6 months’ remaining shelf life. Store this product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap or inner foil closed tightly after each use.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 48 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
