The Tunze Turbelle Stream pump delivers precise, energy-efficient flow control sized to match your aquarium’s volume.
TUNZE publish a scope-of-delivery list for the Turbelle® stream 6065, and this is it:
The 6065 is a non-electronic pump. It runs straight from the mains at 230 V / 50 Hz on a 2 m cable, so there is no controller and no power supply unit in the box — those belong to TUNZE’s electronic eco and HUB models, not to this one.
Two things TUNZE list as accessories rather than contents, and both matter before you order. The helical cable guard is not supplied with the 6065, 6085 or 6125 — only the controllable 6055 and 6095 come with a pre-assembled cable sleeve. TUNZE warn that cable damage caused by aquarium inhabitants where no cable protection was fitted, or where it was not replaced in time, is a warranty exclusion; triggerfish and sea urchins grazing algae off the cable are the cases they name. The Magnet Extension is also separate, and is needed if you want to angle the pump more than about 40° to 50° away from the flow direction, or to mount on glass up to 20 mm (3/4 in).
Fitting the magnet and clamp. Prepare the two magnet halves separately and keep them well apart while you work — see the safety note further down this page. Peel the elastic buffers off the film and press them into the round cavities provided, four to each magnet half. Press the base plate on to one magnet half, using a rubber mallet if it needs it, press the four silicone buffers into the base plate, and push the Silence clamp on to the buffers.
Mounting on the glass. Pick the position first: the glass should be free of algae on the inside and dry and clean on the outside. The outer magnet half is as waterproof as the inner one, so it can also be attached under water — on an overflow shaft or inside a filter tank, for instance. Put the inner half against the pane with the elastic buffers facing the glass, hold the outer half opposite it, and bring the two together carefully. To move the holder later, lift the outer magnet slightly away from the glass first, or the buffers tear. Then clip the pump into the clamp and turn it to the flow direction you want.
What to expect at first. TUNZE recommend fitting the supplied protective grating on non-electronic pumps such as this one, to stop small fish and crayfish getting into the pump opening. On glass at the maximum recommended thickness the 3D adjustment is limited, because the lateral pull rises; beyond about 40° to 50° off the flow direction TUNZE call for a Magnet Extension for safe mounting. The Magnet Holders are designed for use in a filled aquarium — mounted on a dry tank the holding force may be too low. Running noise is loudest when the pump is new and diminishes over a one to two week break-in period.
Servicing. Clean the pump and drive assembly thoroughly at least once a year. Where the water is hard, sediment is heavy, or the pump has stalled, TUNZE suggest about every three months instead. Open the pump, pull out the drive assembly, and clean the impeller housing, the drive assembly with its impeller, and the rotor compartment. Never scrape deposits off with anything hard — use a brush or a soft cloth with detergent and/or vinegar. If the drive assembly has gone loose and rattles in its seat, replace the whole part rather than any piece of it. Reassemble in reverse order.
This product carries a 24-month manufacturer warranty from the date of purchase, covering material and manufacturing defects. TUNZE’s printed instruction manual is the document that governs here: their website currently quotes a longer period, but the manual supplied in the box states 24 months, and 24 months is the term we will honour.
What voids it, and what it does not cover. TUNZE name three exclusions: damage from inexpert handling, for which water damage is the example they give; technical modification carried out by the buyer; and connection to devices they have not recommended. The remedy under the guarantee is repair or replacement of the unit at TUNZE’s discretion, and consequential damage is explicitly excluded — on an aquarium that means the unit itself is covered and what happens in the tank when one fails is not. TUNZE also require a defective unit to come back in its original packaging with proof of purchase, so keep the carton and the foam for the two years rather than putting them out with the recycling.
Warranty support is handled by us directly. Message our WhatsApp support with your order number and we will diagnose the fault first. Most cases are solved by replacing a single part, so you rarely need to send the whole unit. If the item does need to come back, it ships to our Delhi or Pune warehouse, whichever one served your order, and courier cost in both directions is borne by the customer. Your GST invoice is valid proof of purchase for the claim.
Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.
If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
