The formula is built on Reef-Roids, and those first two figures are the same 60% and 20% that appear as crude protein and crude fat in the Reef-Roids analysis: Polyp Booster is the same nutrition, broken down and delivered in liquid form so the coral does not have to digest a particle to get at it.

The astaxanthin is the pigment. It is the carotenoid that makes krill and salmon flesh red, and in corals it feeds the colour rather than the tissue. Polyp Lab are careful to say the product was not designed to target a specific coral or a specific colour: only to improve health and vibrance across all scleractinian corals through better nutrition.

No full guaranteed analysis is published for this product. Polyp Lab give the three figures above and nothing further: no moisture, no ash, no list of the individual amino or fatty acids. We are not going to fill that in from another product’s label.

Feeding Guide

The dose: 1 mL per 60 gallons (about 227 litres) of aquarium water. On a 200 litre reef that is a little under a millilitre, which is why it comes with a dropper rather than a cap.

The timing is the whole trick: dose it 30 to 60 seconds before you feed. Polyp Booster is not really a food you are giving the corals: it is the signal that makes them open up and get ready to eat. Polyp Lab claim it triggers a feeding response in most aquarium inhabitants, corals, invertebrates, crustaceans and fish alike, in under 30 seconds, and that a coral whose feeding response has been triggered absorbs whatever you feed next more effectively. Dose it, wait a minute, then target feed.

What to feed after it. Polyp Lab point at their own Reef-Roids, and the two are designed as a pair: we stock Reef-Roids in all three sizes. But the claim is about the feeding response rather than about any one food, so it works ahead of whatever you already feed.

How to feed it well: turn the circulation off, dose the booster, give the corals a minute to open, then target feed with a syringe or a turkey baster and leave the pumps off for a few more minutes so the food stays where the coral can catch it. Feeding into full flow puts most of it in your skimmer.

Where it earns its keep: Polyp Lab call it a must-have for any low nutrient system. That is the honest use case: an ultra-low-nutrient tank starves its corals of the particulate food they would otherwise pick out of the water, and a feeding trigger plus a rich particle food is how you put that back without letting nitrate and phosphate climb.

Safe for any type of marine aquarium, according to Polyp Lab. They publish no maximum dose and no frequency (the instruction is simply to use it before feeding) so feed to your tank’s appetite and watch your nutrients as you would with any food.

Freshness & Storage

Every batch we dispatch carries a minimum of 6 months’ remaining shelf life. Store this product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap or inner foil closed tightly after each use.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 48 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
