Compatibility

Confirmed against Fluval’s own parts diagrams. The Intake Strainer is part A20007 on both the 06 Series (106/206) and 07 Series (107/207) filters — genuinely the same part number across both generations at this size tier, not just a similar-looking one. (For reference: the larger 306/406/307/407 tier uses a different strainer, A20008 — this listing’s part is specific to the 105/106/107-size baskets.)

105/205. This listing’s own title also lists the older 05 Series (105/205) as compatible. That’s plausible — Fluval has kept the same basket-and-hosing platform across generations — but no 05 Series manual was reachable this session to confirm the part number directly, so it’s carried here as the listing’s own claim, not independently verified.

Setup & Use

What it does. A clog-proof, wide-mouth strainer fitted to the end of the intake tube, sized to draw in water and suspended debris while keeping fish, snails and larger debris out of the intake line.

Positioning. Fluval’s own installation steps call for the strainer to sit at least 3 in. (7.5 cm) off the substrate, and away from any air stone or aeration device — air drawn into the intake reduces filter efficiency. If the intake tube is too long for a shallow tank, the strainer can be removed, the tube trimmed with a hacksaw, and the strainer refitted.

Maintenance. Fluval’s schedule calls for a monthly check-and-clean of the intake stem/strainer, since it’s the part that first meets suspended waste and can slowly clog.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 48 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
