Fluval’s own genuine Motor Head Maintenance Kit for the 407 Performance Canister Filter, listed in Fluval’s own 07 Series parts diagram as part A20097 — a 407-specific kit; the 107, 207 and 307 each have their own equivalent kit under a different part number (A20094 / A20095 / A20096) and aren’t interchangeable.

What’s Included

Per Fluval’s own parts listing, this kit bundles the four wear parts that make up the 407’s motor head pump assembly in one box: the Magnetic Impeller, its Ceramic Shaft & Rubber Support, the Impeller Cover, and the Motor Head Gasket (the “O”-ring that seals the motor head to the canister). Buying it as a kit covers a full motor-head service in one order rather than four separate part purchases.

Setup & Use

Why all four together. Fluval’s own maintenance schedule puts the impeller on a yearly replacement cycle and calls for the motor head gasket to be replaced yearly too, since it “will deteriorate over time and must be replaced yearly to avoid the potential for leaks” — the two wear out on a similar timeline, which is the logic behind servicing them as a set rather than waiting for one to fail before ordering the other.

Gasket fitting. Lubricate the new gasket using only a silicone-based lubricant (Fluval’s own Silicone Lubricant, A325, or plain vegetable oil) — Fluval’s manual specifically warns against petroleum-jelly-based products, which can degrade the rubber.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 48 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
