Specifications

What it is. The intake stem is part of an AquaClear hang-on-back power filter’s intake assembly — the rigid stem that the intake sponge slides onto, feeding tank water down into the filter’s intake “U” tube and on to the impeller cover.

Where it fits. AquaClear’s own manual lists the Intake Stem as one of the intake-assembly parts, alongside the Intake “U” Tube, Extension Tube and Intake Sponge, that route water into the filter before it reaches the media.

Fits: AquaClear 30 (A600, 150 GPH) and AquaClear 50 (A610, 200 GPH) Power Filters. Genuine Hagen/Fluval part number A16150.

Why replace it. AquaClear’s own FAQ recommends running as many intake stems as will fit in the aquarium and drawing water from as deep as possible for the most efficient filtration — reason enough to swap out a cracked, brittle or missing stem. A properly seated intake stem, with the U-tube clicked firmly into the impeller cover, is also the first thing AquaClear’s troubleshooting guide checks when a filter won’t prime.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 48 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
