Compatibility

What it is. The genuine replacement impeller for the Fluval C4 Power Filter (Model 14003), rated by Fluval for aquariums up to 70 US Gal / 265 L — the largest of the C-series. Fluval’s own C-series replacement-parts table lists this specifically as part A20299; the C2 and C3 use their own different part numbers (A20297 and A20298) and aren’t interchangeable with this one.

Setup & Use

Why it wears. Per Fluval’s own FAQ for the C-series, the impeller is the filter’s only moving part and runs continuously, so it eventually wears — the reason it sits outside the filter’s 3-year warranty while the rest of the unit stays covered.

When to replace it. A noisy motor is Fluval’s own sign to check the impeller first; if cleaning it doesn’t fix the noise, replacement is the next step. Their maintenance chart calls for checking and cleaning the impeller monthly.

Fitting it. Per the manual’s quarterly motor-service routine: unplug the filter, empty the case, twist the motor a quarter-turn in the direction marked on its front and ease it down gently, pull the old impeller from the impeller well and rinse off any slime (a cotton swab or impeller-well brush handles stubborn deposits), fit the new one into the well, then reinstall the motor.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 48 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
