Compatibility

What it is. Fluval’s own genuine replacement Magnetic Impeller with Ceramic Shaft & Rubber Bushing for the 407 Performance Canister Filter — listed in Fluval’s own 07 Series parts diagram as part A20169, item S. This is a 407-specific part: the 307 uses a different impeller assembly (A20149), and the smaller 107/207 models share yet another (A20109) — none of the three are interchangeable across models.

Setup & Use

Why it wears. The impeller is the filter’s only continuously-moving part while the unit runs, so Fluval’s own maintenance schedule treats it as a wear item: check and clean it monthly, and replace it yearly as a preventative step regardless of visible damage, since a worn impeller reduces flow and adds noise before it fully fails.

Also sold as part of a kit. This same impeller (plus its ceramic shaft/rubber support, the impeller cover and the motor head gasket) is bundled together in Fluval’s 07 Motor Head Maintenance Kit for the 407 (A20097) — worth checking if more than one of those parts needs replacing at the same time, since the kit works out to servicing the whole wear-prone assembly in one order rather than piece by piece.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 48 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
