Salifert Freshwater Test Carbon Dioxide CO2

In a planted tank, dissolved CO2 drives plant growth, and both too little and too much cause problems. Measuring it shows whether your CO2 system is delivering what you intend.

The Salifert Freshwater Test for Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is a 60-test kit that works by counting reagent drops: each drop of CO2-2 corresponds to 5 mg/L (ppm) of CO2. For planted freshwater aquariums Salifert advises a CO2 value of 20 to 40 mg/L.

How to Use

1. Add 5 ml of aquarium water to the test vial with the syringe.
2. Add 4 drops of CO2-1.
3. Add CO2-2 drop by drop, swirling gently for 2 seconds after each drop, until the colour changes to blue.
4. Count the drops of CO2-2: each drop is 5 mg/L (ppm) of CO2.

Freshness & Storage

Every batch we dispatch carries a minimum of 6 months’ remaining shelf life. Store this product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap or inner foil closed tightly after each use.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 48 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
