Construction: seamless and high-edged. Catit describe the design as fully leak-proof and spray-proof — there is no join at the base for urine to creep through, which is the usual failure point on a two-piece hooded box.

Measure your floor space before ordering. At 41 × 52 cm this occupies a little more floor than a standard open tray, but Catit’s argument is that you save the space a litter mat would take, because the textured lid does that job. The height matters as much as the footprint — at 47.5 cm it will not slide under a low shelf or into a vanity cupboard.

Setup & Use

Opening it. Press PIXI’s nose on the front to unlock, then bring the lid up. That is the whole mechanism — there are no clips to unhook and no rim to prise off.

Filling it. Open the lid, pour litter into the base, close. Catit do not publish a fill depth for this box; the usual working depth for a clumping litter is enough for the cat to dig and cover, and the high sides here mean you can run it deeper than an open tray without spill.

How the anti-tracking lid works. Your cat climbs out through the opening in the top and stands on the textured lid on the way down. Loose litter comes off the paws there and falls back into the box, rather than being carried across the floor. This is why Catit say you will not need a litter mat with it.

Cleaning. The edges are rounded and the interior is seamless, so a scoop reaches every corner and there is no square joint packing with damp litter. For a full wash, the lid swivels right up out of the way.

One thing to think about before you buy: your cat has to jump. The only way in is over the top, and the box is 47.5 cm tall. For a healthy adult cat that is nothing. For a young kitten, an elderly cat, an overweight cat, or one with arthritis or any hind-leg problem, a top-entry box can become one they quietly stop using — and a cat that stops using the tray usually chooses somewhere worse. If any of that describes your cat, a front-entry hooded box is the safer choice.

Introducing it. Cats are conservative about litter arrangements. Put the new box where the old one stood, and if you can, run both for a few days rather than swapping overnight.

What’s in the Box

One Catit PIXI Litter Box — the base and its hinged top lid. It arrives as a single assembled unit; there is nothing to build.

The scoop is not included. Catit state this explicitly. The matching Catit PIXI Litter Scoop is a separate product, and it is designed to clip and store at the back of this box — so if you want the scoop that stows on the box rather than one that lives on the floor beside it, order it at the same time.

No litter is included, and no liner. Catit’s own Go Natural pea husk litter is the intended partner — it is light, fine-pelleted and low-tracking, which is what the anti-tracking lid is designed around.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number — or email us, if you would rather — and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
