Clean water without blue-green algae (Cyanobacteria)

Blue Exit is the new way of getting rid of blue-green algae (cyanobacteria) without using antibiotics or compounds which contain copper.

Cyanobacteria (blue-green algae, slime algae or smear algae) often arise as a result of fertilization, an imbalanced bacteria situation, seriously contaminated bottom material (rotting) or too low nitrate levels.

Blue Exit effectively gets rid of cyanobacteria. Blue Exit is easy and safe to use and is harmless to fish, shrimps, molluscs and plants. If there is a serious infestation, the Blue Exit treatment can be prolonged for a few days, even with a double dose.

Dosage: 10 ml per 80 litres daily over the course of 5 consecutive days.

The cyanobacteria disappears within 10 days after the last dose. As from the first dose, until 14 days later, do not replenish or change the water, nor make use of adsorbents.

As preventative: 10 ml per 80 litres weekly.

Compatibility

Freshwater aquariums. Easy-Life publish it as harmless to fish, shrimp, molluscs and plants, and it contains no antibiotics and no copper compounds — which is the usual objection to treating cyanobacteria chemically.

It is for blue-green algae, which is a bacterium rather than an algae. For beard, brush or filamentous algae use AlgExit instead.

Take activated carbon and any other adsorbing medium out of the filter before you start. Carbon strips the treatment out of the water as fast as you add it, which is the usual reason a course appears not to work.

The awkward part is the water changes: after the first dose, do not change or top up the water for 14 days, and keep adsorbents out for that whole period. Plan the treatment for a fortnight when the tank can be left alone. The dose is 10 ml per 80 litres daily for five days, and 10 ml per 80 litres weekly as prevention; results show within ten days of the last dose.

Freshness & Storage

Every batch we dispatch carries a minimum of 6 months’ remaining shelf life. Store this product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap or inner foil closed tightly after each use.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
