Easy Life pH Buffer KH

Easy-Life pH-Buffer (KH+) safely raises carbonate hardness, preventing the dangerous acidity drop that marine aquariums lose over time.

Easy-Life pH-Buffer (KH+) safely increases the KH, so that the pH value is stabilized at the correct level. The product contains in total 18,100 dKH.

Usage : 1 spoon (about 5 ml product) per 50 litres raises the KH 3.4 to 3.8 dKH. First dissolve the powder in freshwater (1 spoon per 200 ml) and raise the KH of the saltwater slowly.

Dosage & Directions

Easy-Life's instruction for pH-Buffer (KH+) has two halves, and the second half is the one that matters.

• One spoon — about 5 ml of product — per 50 litres raises the KH by 3.4 to 3.8 dKH.
• Dissolve the powder in freshwater first, at one spoon per 200 ml, then add that solution to the aquarium.
• Raise the KH of saltwater slowly. Easy-Life say this explicitly; carbonate hardness is not a parameter to jump.

This is a powder, sold in a 500 ml jar, so the pack size is a jar volume and not a liquid volume. Do not tip it straight into the tank — undissolved buffer landing on a coral or in the sand bed is exactly the local pH spike you are trying to avoid.

Easy-Life state that the jar contains 18,100 dKH in total. In practice, at one spoon per 50 litres, that is roughly a hundred spoons of buffer — enough to lift a 300-litre system by about 3.5 dKH some sixteen times over.

Work to a test kit, not to a schedule. A marine aquarium loses carbonate hardness gradually as corals take it up, so measure the KH, dose to bring it back, and measure again before dosing more.

Compatibility

Water type. Marine. Easy-Life list pH-Buffer (KH+) under marine additives, and describe it for marine and reef aquariums.

Reef tanks. This is a reef product — Easy-Life's own summary line is "increases the KH in a reef aquarium". A stony-coral system consumes carbonate continuously, which is why the KH falls in the first place.

What it does to the pH. It does not push the pH up directly. It restores the carbonate hardness that stabilises the pH, so the water stops drifting towards a dangerous acidity level. That is a different job from a pH-adjusting product, and a better one.

Form. Powder in a 500 ml jar, to be dissolved in freshwater before use — one spoon per 200 ml. Do not confuse it with a liquid buffer that can be dosed neat.

Alongside other additives. Dose it on its own and give it time to mix through the system before adding anything else, and keep Easy-Life's Fluid Filter Medium and EasyStart separate from other additives as they ask — those two can strip ingredients out of whatever is dosed at the same time.

Not for freshwater. Easy-Life do not list this product for freshwater use. If you need to raise KH in a freshwater tank, ask us for the right product rather than adapting this one.

Freshness & Storage

Every batch we dispatch carries a minimum of 6 months' remaining shelf life. Store this product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap or inner foil closed tightly after each use.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number — or email us, if you would rather — and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
