With the EHEIM autofeeder+ we offer you the smart version of our (basic version) autofeeder with additional functions and advantages.

The EHEIM autofeeder+ is our intelligent automatic feeder with digital control via WLAN. All functions can be programmed and monitored via smartphone, tablet or PC/MAC. You can set both feeding times and quantities individually and generate a fasting day. There is protection against overfeeding and you will also receive an email message when the food in the drum is running low. In addition, synchronization with other devices in our WIFI programmed is also possible. For example, when linked to the EHEIM thermocontrol+e aquarium heater, you will be warned by email before feeding if the water temperature is too high and, when linked to the EHEIM professionel 5e external filter, the flow rate can be automatically reduced or increased for 10 minutes during feeding.

EHEIM autofeeder+ has a power supply unit so it is not battery operated like the standard autofeeder. Maximum safety and reliability are a matter of course and the feeder comes with a 3-year guarantee.

Setup & Use

Mount it where the food can fall clear of the lid. On an open tank the supplied bracket clamps to the rim and the feeder sits on its plate. On a covered tank it goes on a flat part of the hood — and EHEIM are specific that it must not be installed underneath the cover, because the damp air blown up from the water clumps the food in the drum. That is the single most common reason an automatic feeder stops delivering.

Only flake and granulate. EHEIM’s list of what must never go in it is explicit: large flakes, sticks, tablets, frozen food, wet food and live food. The drum meters by volume and anything that bridges will simply stop feeding. Fill to the max mark, no further.

Set the portion with the slider, then test it over white paper. The slider on the drum sets the dose; a manual feed is a finger held on the touch panel for one to two seconds. Catch one dose on a sheet of white paper and look at it before you trust it to a week away from home. The slider goes fine enough to feed fry.

Connecting it. Plug the power supply in and the feeder creates its own network — the status LED flashes white while it does, then turns blue. Join the WiFi network named EHEIM feeder followed by eight characters, using the security key printed on the label between the feed drum and the drive unit, then open http://192.168.1.1 in a browser. There is no app to install and no account to create. Once it is on your home network it can be grouped with other EHEIM digital devices, and the LED turns green when it is linked to one.

It works without WiFi too. Plug it in, touch the panel once: the drum turns once now and again at the same time every 24 hours. Touch it a second time inside a minute and you get two doses at that time each day. Hold the panel for about ten seconds to clear the programme — the LED cycles through colours to confirm.

Resetting the network is a press of about eight to ten seconds until the LED changes colour and settles on green. That invalidates the printed security key, so note it down first if you might want to rejoin the old way.

Cleaning. Unplug, take the drum unit off the drive unit, lift the cover off the drum, wash cover and drum under running water, wipe the drive unit with a soft dry cloth only. The drive unit does not go near water.

It contains a button cell that you cannot replace, which is EHEIM’s note, not ours — it keeps the clock, and the unit is disposed of as electronics at end of life.

Published figures worth knowing before you order: drum capacity about 125 ml, minimum useful fill 5 g and maximum 100 g; unit 146.2 × 77.2 × 60.2 mm; power supply input 100–240 V at 50/60 Hz, output 5 V DC / 1 A / 5 W; WiFi 2.4 GHz b/g/n on channels 1–11, WPA and WPA2. The 100–240 V input means the supply itself is happy on Indian mains; EHEIM build the power unit with different plug heads for different markets, so if the plug pattern matters to you, ask us to confirm which one is in the carton before you order.

It is not battery powered. If your power goes out, the feeder goes out with it.

Warranty & Support

This product carries a 3-year manufacturer warranty from the date of purchase, covering material and manufacturing defects. EHEIM excludes wear parts — impeller, sealing rings, hoses and filter media — along with glass damage, units that have been opened, and any unit fitted with non-EHEIM parts.

Warranty support is handled by us directly. Message our WhatsApp support with your order number and we will diagnose the fault first — most cases are solved by replacing a single part, so you rarely need to send the whole unit. If the item does need to come back, it ships to our Delhi or Pune warehouse, whichever one served your order, and courier cost in both directions is borne by the customer. Your GST invoice is valid proof of purchase for the claim.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number — or email us, if you would rather — and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
