Filter wadding for fine filtration as last filter layer  e.g. for turbid water conditions This fine fibre filter wadding once more cleans the water mechanically before re-entry into the aquarium. EHEIM SYNTH removes the finest dirt particles from the water, which are often responsible for turbidity in the aquarium. As the final filter layer EHEIM SYNTH should be used in a thin layer up to maximum 10 mm. After medication treatment a new layer of EHEIM SYNTH should be used. To fit an EHEIM external filter, we also offer EHEIM filter fine pads to achieve the same result.

Composition & Analysis

What it is. EHEIM SYNTH is a fine fibre filter wadding, built as the last mechanical stage before water returns to the tank. It catches the finest suspended particles that cause visible cloudiness, which coarser media like MECH or MECHpro let through.

Setup & Use

How it goes in. Top layer of the filter, last in the water’s path. EHEIM recommends a thin layer, no more than about 10 mm thick. Packing it deeper restricts flow rather than improving polish. Suitable for both freshwater and marine use.

Replace, don’t rinse, after medication. EHEIM’s own instruction: fit fresh wadding after any medication treatment rather than cleaning and reusing the same piece, since it can hold residue the same way carbon does.

Freshness & Storage

Every batch we dispatch carries a minimum of 6 months’ remaining shelf life. Store this product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap or inner foil closed tightly after each use.

Filter media and substrates carry no manufacturing or expiry date. Their working life begins on first contact with water, not on the shelf.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 48 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
