Compatibility

This is Exo Terra’s Screen Terrarium Large X-Tall (PT2679), 90 x 45 x 90 cm (36 x 18 x 36″). It is an all-screen enclosure, not a glass one, and that single fact decides what it works with.

• Species: arboreal reptiles and amphibians that suffer in stagnant air — chameleons above all, and other tree dwellers. Exo Terra design it around unrestricted airflow, which is the opposite requirement to a humid glass terrarium.
• Not for humidity-dependent setups. A screen enclosure will not hold humidity the way glass does. Exo Terra’s own answer is an optional background, which raises humidity and collects misting water for species that drink droplets — day geckos and chameleons among them.
• Lighting and UVB: the aluminium mesh is made to pass ultraviolet from a UVB lamp or from actual sunlight, so a fixture sits on top of the screen and works through it. That is also why this enclosure can go outdoors — the screen is corrosion-resistant black anodized aluminium.
• Insects stay in: the mesh is cricket-proof, so feeder insects cannot walk out between feeds.
• Substrate: the included substrate tray takes a thin layer only — enough to absorb spray water and lift humidity. This is not an enclosure for a deep bioactive substrate or a water feature; there is no waterproof glass bottom.
• Heating: a heat mat has nothing to bond to here, so heat comes from above through the screen. Plan for an overhead fixture rather than an under-tank mat.
• Access: large hinged front doors giving full access to the interior, plus a swivelling bottom door that lets the substrate tray out without opening the front. Nickel-plated latches hold everything shut.
• Stand: a cabinet or stand matched to this footprint. The enclosure itself is light, but it wants a level base so the doors sit square and latch properly.

It arrives flat and is assembled with a single screwdriver, so check you have somewhere to build it before it lands. Exo Terra publish an EU manual for the Screen Terrarium range — ask us if you want it in advance.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
