Compatibility

What it is. A Bio-Foam value pack sized for Fluval’s 406 and 407 Performance Canister Filters — the two largest models in Fluval’s current 06/07 Series canister range, one size up from the 306/307 pair. The pack bundles three separate Bio-Foam media types rather than one block, matching the three-way foam naming Fluval uses across the whole 06/07 line (confirmed on Fluval’s own 07 Series filter maintenance chart, which lists Bio-Foam, Bio-Foam+ and Bio-Foam Max as distinct, separately-tracked media).

The three foam types. Bio-Foam Max is a 2-in-1 biological/mechanical foam with a rippled surface giving roughly 30% more surface area for debris and waste capture. Bio-Foam is precision-cut with no gaps, so debris can’t bypass it, and keeps water flow consistent through a dense internal structure. Bio-Foam+ combines mechanical and biological filtration on a large, porous surface built to support beneficial bacteria growth. A 6-month supply, for freshwater and saltwater use.

Setup & Use

Where it sits in the filter. Per Fluval’s own 06/07 Series filtration guidance, mechanical foam media like this belongs in the lowest media basket — the first stage water reaches — so it strips out particles before the water moves up to BIOMAX (biological, mid basket) and Carbon (chemical, top basket). Placed here, the foam also builds its own bacteria colony, adding to BIOMAX’s biological action rather than only filtering mechanically.

Replacement cadence. All three foam types are checked and cleaned monthly; none are on a fixed replacement calendar the way Carbon is — replace only once a piece is visibly worn or no longer holding its shape. Rinse in aquarium water, not tap water, to avoid killing the bacteria colony the foam carries.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 48 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
