A chemical filter media for the Fluval C3 Power Filter that removes and controls ammonia and nitrite, both produced naturally as fish waste and uneaten food break down, and both toxic to fish even at low concentrations. It occupies the same chemical-basket slot in the filter as Activated Carbon, as an alternative or an addition to it rather than a replacement for the filter’s mechanical or biological stages.

Pack size. Fluval’s own current listing for this exact part states 4.9 oz / 140 g per pack, sold three to a box (420 g total), which matches this listing’s own stated net weight.

Setup & Use

Before first use. Rinse thoroughly under tap water to clear the fine dust the media picks up in handling, then place it directly into the C3’s chemical media basket (or a nylon filter bag, if that’s how it’s packaged).

Replacement. Fluval’s own C-series maintenance chart calls for the Carbon Insert in this same basket to be fully replaced every month, never rinsed and reused. Ammonia Remover is the same class of exhausting resin media in the same slot, so the same monthly cycle is the safe default, and Fluval’s general instruction for all C-series media stands here too: never replace every media type in the filter on the same day, stagger it so the tank never loses its whole bacteria population at once.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 48 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
