Compatibility

Fluval’s own parts table lists the impeller cover for the 206 canister filter as part A-20134: a size-specific part, not shared with the 106 (A-20114) or the larger 306/406 (A-20154).

Setup & Use

What it does. The impeller cover seals the impeller well, holding the magnetic impeller and its ceramic shaft in place while allowing water to flow through the chamber. Fluval’s manual notes the impeller well has a self-cleaning action, but recommends removing this cover periodically to inspect the impeller as part of routine maintenance.

Fitting it. Per Fluval’s own steps: pull the tab to remove the old cover; to refit, slide the new cover’s tab into the receptacle on the rim of the impeller chamber, then push down the opposite side until the impeller seats itself in the center and the retaining tab clicks into place. Fluval’s own caution: fit it the right way up, or the impeller won’t seat correctly.

Why this wears out and isn’t under warranty. Fluval’s manual explicitly excludes the impeller, impeller cover and motor seal from the manufacturer warranty as wear-and-tear parts: a cracked or worn cover here is expected maintenance, not a defect claim.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 48 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
