Compatibility

What it is. One of the stacking media baskets that sit inside the filter canister — Fluval’s own 06-series manual lists this basket, item A-20046, as shared between the 106 and 206 models.

Where this sits in the range. The larger 306/406 canisters use a different basket (A-20043) sized for their bigger canister volume, which is why this part is specific to the 106/206 and 107/207 pairing rather than the whole 06/07 lineup.

Setup & Use

Fluval’s own guidance: media supplied with the filter is deliberately placed in upper, mid and lower baskets for a reason. Note which basket each media type shipped in before stripping the stack down for cleaning, and put it back at the same level — basket order affects how water moves through the different media types.
