The Exo Terra Gecko Cave makes the perfect addition to your gecko terrarium. A secure hide is an essential feature of the natural terrarium. Without a proper hide and sleeping area, geckos can easily develop stress that may affect their well-being and appetite. The natural look of the Exo Terra Gecko Cave can be easily integrated into any type of terrarium, and its sturdy design prevents it from being easily tipped over by larger geckos. The Exo Terra Gecko Cave is also extremely useful as nesting hide for various species of geckos. To create a moist hide just add moistened Exo Terra’s Forest Moss or Sphagnum Moss. Nesting hides should be kept moist at all times.
Suitable for: Smooth Knob Tail Geckos, Coleonyx.
Stimulates heat regulation.
Good hiding places and visual barriers are an often underestimated and necessary feature when setting up a natural terrarium. If reptiles and amphibians do not feel sufficiently “invisible”, they will easily develop stress which will negatively affect their activity pattern and reduce their appetite. The Exo Terra® Hides are decorative, provide shade and enlarge the 3-dimensional dwelling space. In addition to the decorative aspect of the Exo Terra® Hides, they also play an important role in the creation of a suitable, somewhat more humid microclimate in the terrarium.
Exo Terra® offers a wide variety of Hides that can be easily integrated into any type of terrarium. Their naturalistic design fits perfectly in desert or planted terrariums, and by simply adding moistened Exo Terra® Forest Moss or Sphagnum Moss, the hide provides an ideal egg-laying site for various species of reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates.
The Exo Terra® Hides offer your reptiles, amphibians or invertebrates a secure place to hide and sleep, while the moist microclimate will support thermo-regulation, hydration, and aid the natural shedding process of reptiles. The Exo Terra® Hides provide a cool-humid place to hide which let your reptiles and amphibians experience an increased feeling of safety and reduced stress.
