No display, no buttons for programming. Everything is set from the phone, which is what keeps the housing this small. There is a Wi-Fi button and one manual dosing button per channel on the body — the manual button runs that pump head directly, which is how you prime the lines and how you keep dosing if the Wi-Fi drops.

Wi-Fi indicator, in Jebao's words: flashing green and red means configuration mode; flashing green means it has been connected before but is not on the router yet; steady green means connected to the cloud server; steady red means on the router but not the cloud; flashing red means the Wi-Fi has been reset.

App: Jebao Aqua, on the App Store and Google Play. On first use the Wi-Fi must be reset — hold the Wi-Fi button for about 10 seconds until the light flashes red — then hold it for about 5 seconds to enter connection mode.

Compatibility

What it is for. Daily automatic dosing of liquid additives. Jebao name the methods themselves: the Balling method and DSR for marine aquariums, and the Estimative Index or Redfield Ratio for planted freshwater tanks. Four independent channels, each with its own schedule.

Typical channel assignment: calcium, magnesium and alkalinity from three channels with the fourth for trace elements or a carbon source — or, on a planted tank, macro, micro, carbon and a fourth for anything you dose separately.

What you must not put through it. This is the important one, and it is Jebao's own warning: do not use with corrosive liquids, or with liquids that easily crystallise. That rules out kalkwasser, which crystallises in the line and will seize a peristaltic head, and it is a warning worth reading carefully against any saturated solution — a Balling salt mixed to the edge of solubility will crystallise in cold tubing overnight just as readily.

Accuracy depends on two things you control. Jebao are explicit that before use you must fill the inlet and outlet hoses completely with liquid using manual mode, and calibrate the flow rate of every channel. Calibrate close to the volume you will actually dose — if a channel will deliver 10 to 30 ml a day, calibrate it at 20 ml. The pump must also stand on a level horizontal surface, both during calibration and in use.

Freshwater and marine both.

Safety & Precautions

Jebao's warnings, from the manual:

• Indoor use only. Position it to avoid moisture ingress and splashing — Jebao state plainly that water damage will void the warranty. Mount it above the sump water line and above the dosing containers, never below them, and never inside a wet cabinet where condensation drips.
• Do not use with corrosive liquids, or liquids that will easily crystallize.
• Prime and calibrate before first use. Fill the inlet and outlet hoses completely with liquid in manual mode, then calibrate each channel's flow rate. Dosing an uncalibrated pump onto a live reef is how alkalinity accidents happen.
• Do not disassemble the product unless you are qualified or working under professional instruction.
• Keep it level. Jebao specify a horizontal plane both for calibration and for use, for dosing precision.

Two practical additions. Route the outlet lines so they end above the water surface, not submerged — a submerged outlet can siphon the whole container into the tank if the pump head ever loses its seal. And build up to your target dose over several days rather than starting at full rate, so a calibration error shows up as a small swing rather than a large one.

Disposal: Jebao ask that this is not put out as unsorted municipal waste — it goes to an authorised collection point for electrical and electronic equipment.

Warranty support is handled by us directly. Message our WhatsApp support with your order number and we will diagnose the fault first — most cases are solved by replacing a single part, so you rarely need to send the whole unit. If the item does need to come back, it ships to our Delhi or Pune warehouse, whichever one served your order, and courier cost in both directions is borne by the customer. Your GST invoice is valid proof of purchase for the claim.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number — or email us, if you would rather — and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
