Refuel is a fundamental component of our 4-part System Reef-resh. We recommend using all components of this system to maximize the efficacy of this product.

Directions:

Using the syringe, extract the appropriate amount of Refuel based on the dosage chart printed on the bottle. Dose Refuel in the sump or an area of strong flow in your aquarium.  Dosage: For every 25G of system volume, use the chart printed on the bottle to determine the correct amount for your aquarium. For optimum results, dose this product during the day while lights are on.

Compatibility

Marine and reef aquariums. Refuel is a carbon source for feeding bacteria in a reef system. It is not a freshwater product and PolypLab publish no freshwater use for it.

Where it goes: into the sump, or any area of strong flow in the aquarium. The sump is the convenient option, not a requirement — a tank without one dosed at a return-pump outlet or a powerhead is doing what PolypLab ask.

When: during the day, with the lights on. That is the opposite of their Plus, which is dosed at night. If you run both, they are two separate events in the day, not one.

With the rest of the range: Refuel is the 500 ml Fuel component of PolypLab's four-part System Reef-resh, alongside Genesis (their bacterial blend, at over 80 billion cells per ml), Plus (coral food) and Acids (amino acids), each of those in 50 ml. PolypLab's stated position is that the four are designed to run together and that using all of them is what gets the most out of any one of them. Refuel on its own is a carbon source without the bacteria it was designed to feed — it will still work on the population already in your system, just more slowly.

With corals: PolypLab state the process is gentle and will not have negative effects on existing corals.

Two things PolypLab do not publish, so treat these as our flags: they give no protein-skimmer requirement for this product, and they say nothing about running it alongside another carbon source. Carbon dosing on top of vodka, vinegar or biopellets already in the system is the classic way to strip a tank too far and trigger a bacterial bloom — if you are already dosing carbon by any other route, pick one and stop the other rather than layering them.

The dosing numbers are on the bottle. PolypLab print Refuel's chart on the label and do not publish it online; their own System Reef-resh page says so directly. Dose against total system volume in 25-gallon steps, using the syringe and the chart on the bottle.

Freshness & Storage

Every batch we dispatch carries a minimum of 6 months' remaining shelf life. Store this product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap or inner foil closed tightly after each use.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number — or email us, if you would rather — and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
