What’s in the Box

Red Sea do not print an itemised scope of delivery for this product. The list below is built from the parts and components named in Red Sea’s own manual for it. If something on it is missing from your carton, tell us and we will take it up with the distributor.

Setup & Use

Take it apart before you put it in. Red Sea ask you to disassemble and reassemble the pump once before its first installation, so the parts are familiar when you strip it for cleaning. The impellors and cages on the two sides of the motor are slightly different, which is why the rubber parts are colour-coded red and green — they have to go back on the correct side.

Fit the snail guards. They go over the impellor cages and stop small animals being drawn in.

Mounting. Horizontally, with the cable on the top side of the pump, and at least 5 cm / 2″ below the water surface so it cannot pull a vortex and suck air. Put it somewhere you can reach — you will be re-aiming it and taking it out for cleaning.

Aiming. Start with the A and B markings on the cage in line with the ReefWave logo; the flow is then roughly perpendicular to the magnet. Rotate the cage inside the mounting bracket to point the flow where your reefscape needs it. The impellors run in both directions, but forward flow is about three times stronger than reverse.

Controller. Mount the bracket with screws or the adhesive tape supplied. The controller tolerates a humid environment but it is not waterproof, so choose its position — and the moment you unclip it — accordingly. Put the power supply somewhere dry and ventilated, and use only the supply that came with the pump.

First power-up. The power LED lights, the settings LED stays off and the mode LED sits on ReefBeat mode. The pump will not start until you either onboard it or switch it to a controller-mode wave — that is expected.

Running it without an app. The controller alone gives you five built-in wave programs and a flow intensity dial from 10 to 100%. Hold the mode button 1 second to start selecting, short presses step through the modes, hold until the LEDs stop blinking to confirm — or wait 4 seconds and the current position is taken. For intensity, hold the centre of the dial until the LEDs blink, turn to the direction and level you want, hold again to save.

Feed and pause. A 1-second press of the Pause/Play button starts a 30-minute feed mode that ends by itself; a 3-second press stops the pump until you press it for 3 seconds again.

Wi-Fi button. 5 seconds toggles Access Point mode on, off, or disconnects a connected unit back to AP mode. 15 seconds clears every user setting — then disconnect and reconnect DC power to finish the reset. Delete the unit from ReefBeat’s Device Manager before disconnecting or clearing it.

Red Sea publish this pump as 15,000 LPH (3,960 GPH) maximum flow, 8–45 W, 31.5 cm / 12.4″ long, for aquariums of 60–200 cm (2–6 ft).

This is a ReefBeat device. Full functionality needs Red Sea’s free ReefBeat app on an Android or iOS phone or tablet, a home Wi-Fi network and a live internet connection. Without internet you can still run it in Offline or Direct mode, but remote access, control from more than one device and status notifications are not available.

Warranty & Support

This product is covered by warranty as per the manufacturer policy, against material and manufacturing defects from the date of purchase.

Warranty support is handled by us directly. Message our WhatsApp support with your order number and we will diagnose the fault first. Most cases are solved by replacing a single part, so you rarely need to send the whole unit. If the item does need to come back, it ships to our Delhi or Pune warehouse, whichever one served your order, and courier cost in both directions is borne by the customer. Your GST invoice is valid proof of purchase for the claim.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
