A propeller wavemaker for freshwater and marine aquariums, made to sit inside the tank. This is the 3,500 l/h model at 4 W.
It mounts on a magnet holder with an extra rubber pad against vibration, and the whole pump rotates through 360°, so it can be aimed anywhere on the glass rather than only where the bracket allows.
Sicce build the flow wide and gentle rather than as a jet, which is what makes it usable on a coral tank. The range runs 3,500 l/h (4 W), 5,000 (6 W), 6,500 (8 W) and 8,000 (12 W) — step up by tank volume and by what the corals will take, not by tank length alone.
The shaft is AISI 316 stainless steel on ceramic bearings, so it is built for saltwater as well as fresh.
Fit the magnet holder to the glass with the rubber pad between magnet and glass, and check the glass thickness is within what the magnet will hold before you let go of it.
Aim it along the glass rather than straight across the tank. A circular flow round the aquarium keeps detritus in suspension for the filter to catch; a jet straight down the middle just makes a dead spot on either side.
Point it slightly up towards the surface if you want gas exchange, slightly down if you want to lift detritus off the sand. Both are worth trying before settling.
Strip and clean the rotor periodically. The impeller is self-cleaning in normal use but not in a tank that is growing coralline algae.
Unplug it at the mains before putting your hands in the tank or taking the unit apart. Water and a live mains connection are the one combination in this hobby that can actually kill you.
Leave a drip loop in the cable — a downward bend below the socket — so water running down the flex drips off the bottom of the loop instead of into the socket.
Never run it dry. The water it moves is what cools and lubricates it, and a pump left running in air destroys its own impeller in minutes.
This is an in-water pump. It is not made to run dry or in-line.
The mount is a strong magnet in two halves. Keep fingers, and anything with a magnetic strip, out from between them — and never let the two halves snap together off the glass.
Take the flow seriously on a small tank or with delicate stock. 3,500 l/h in a short aquarium is a lot of water movement.
The pump with its 360° rotating support and the magnet holder with its anti-vibration rubber.
Rotors, flexible spiral pipes, magnet mounts and replacement rubber pads are all available separately as spares.
Sicce warrant this pump for 3 years from the date of purchase against defects in material and workmanship, extended to 5 years if you register the product with Sicce.

Been using it for the past 20 days without any issue. Model: Sicce Xstream Compact Wavemaker – 5000, Price: ₹4820.00.Recieved new item though it has a peculiar smell as if it was kept for long in a warehouse. Working as intended without any issues. I’m using it in a planted aquarium to create some floor over the driftwood to make my plants dance lightly.Absolutely silent when ON (underwater). Good construction and should be safe for fishes (I have Angels in a 55 gallon tank doing just fine).Overall I’m happy with the purchase.
