Compatibility

Alka Reef+ is the alkalinity half of a two-product pair. Prodibio designed it to be dosed with Calci Reef+, and the ratio matters: one ampoule of Calci Reef+ for every two ampoules of Alka Reef+. Calcification consumes calcium as well as carbonate, which is why the calcium product is not optional.

• Marine reef aquariums only.
• Standard range — Prodibio scale this pair for aquariums from 120 to 1,000 litres. The published rate is 2 ampoules of Alka Reef+ per 120 litres per week.
• Gluconate free, which is Prodibio’s own point of difference against the two-part products that use gluconate as a carrier.
• Prodibio are explicit that the pair gets you an ionic balance close to natural sea water but does not replace water changes — they still recommend changing water regularly.
• Compatible with the rest of the Prodibio reef range and with any existing dosing scheme; it supplies carbonate and nothing else.

Its partner product, Calci Reef+, depends on BioDigest bacteria to release part of its alkalinity. Alka Reef+ does not — the carbonate is available as soon as it goes in.

Pack Size

10 sealed glass ampoules of 1 ml.

• Prodibio state that one Alka Reef+ ampoule contains 1,050 mg of carbonate, which they equate to 35 meq/L, 1,750 ppm of CaCO3, or 98 d°KH. Those are their figures, quoted as printed.
• At the Standard rate — 2 ampoules per 120 litres per week — a box of 10 is five weeks of dosing for a 120-litre reef.
• Buy it alongside Calci Reef+ in a 2:1 ratio, so a box of 10 Alka pairs with 5 ampoules of Calci.

Prodibio supply this as sealed 1 ml glass ampoules. The glass is the point: it keeps the contents away from oxygen until the moment you use them. Shake the ampoule, put the cap over one tip and press with your thumb to snap it, then turn it open-end down just above the water, snap the other tip and pour.

Freshness & Storage

Every batch we dispatch carries a minimum of 6 months’ remaining shelf life. Store this product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap or inner foil closed tightly after each use.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
