What’s in the Box

One Faunarium Medium (PT2260): the moulded plastic base and its ventilated lid with the transparent hinged access door built in. Exo Terra publish no itemised parts list for the Faunarium, and it does not need one. The lid and the base are the whole product.

Nothing else is included. Substrate, water dish, hide and heating are all separate, which is normal for an enclosure sold as transport and temporary housing.

Setup & Use

The Faunarium is Exo Terra’s all-purpose plastic terrarium: 30 x 19.5 x 20.5 cm (12 x 7.5 x 8″) in this Medium size, one of six they make. It is built for the jobs a glass terrarium is bad at.

• Transport. Light, closed, and ventilated, for moving an animal to the vet or bringing one home.
• Quarantine and temporary housing. The plastic is easy to clean and disinfect properly between occupants, which glass with silicone seams is not.
• Live food. Crickets, roaches and worms keep in it perfectly well.
• Hatchlings. Exo Terra rate the plastic terrariums for permanent as well as temporary housing of hatchling reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates. A hatchling in a full-sized terrarium often cannot find its food.
• Stacking. They stack, which is why they are the standard answer in a breeding rack rather than a display shelf.
• Ventilation. The slits are side-angled, so air moves without the animal being able to reach through the roof.
• Access. The transparent door in the lid opens for feeding and misting without taking the whole lid off.

Treat it as temporary housing for anything that will outgrow it, and give it the same substrate, water and hiding place you would give a permanent enclosure. It is easy to clean, not self-cleaning.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 48 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
