Setup & Use

What it is for. Serving food (greens, fruit, insects, or a commercial diet) on a surface that can be cleaned, instead of straight onto the substrate. Feeding off substrate is how reptiles end up swallowing bark and sand.

Placement. The neutral rock colour is designed to integrate into a desert, tropical or any other terrarium. It is weighted so that larger reptiles will not tip it over, which is the usual reason a dish stops containing the food.

Exo Terra coat the resin so it does not develop harmful bacteria, and the surface is non-porous and non-pitted. It wipes clean and takes disinfectant without holding anything in the grain. That is the practical reason to use a moulded dish rather than a found rock.

Take uneaten fresh food out the same day. The coating stops bacteria colonising the dish; it does nothing about food left sitting in a warm terrarium.

Exo Terra do not publish dimensions for the feeding dishes anywhere on their site, so the size is not stated here rather than guessed at. It is worth measuring before you buy if the dish has to fit a particular corner.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 48 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
