Compatibility
Calci Reef+ is the calcium half of a two-product pair, and Prodibio’s ratio is two ampoules of Alka Reef+ for every one ampoule of Calci Reef+. It is a hydrogel rather than a solution, which is what lets part of its alkalinity release slowly instead of all at once.
- Marine reef aquariums only.
- Standard range — for aquariums from 120 to 1,000 litres. The published rate is 1 ampoule per 120 litres per week.
- It needs BioDigest. Prodibio state that the hydrogen carbonate is released progressively under the action of BioDigest’s bacteria, biotransforming the acetate in the calcium hydrogel. Without an established bacterial population that part of the product does not do its job.
- Supplies magnesium as well as calcium — Prodibio note that magnesium is what stops calcium precipitating out as insoluble calcium carbonate.
- Gluconate free.
- Prodibio are explicit that the pair does not replace water changes.
Corals and coralline algae draw on calcium and carbonate together, so dosing one without the other moves the balance rather than correcting it. That is the whole reason for the 2:1 pairing.
Pack Size
10 sealed glass ampoules of 1 ml.
- Prodibio state that each Calci Reef+ ampoule contains 1,000 mg of calcium, 50 mg of magnesium and 915 mg of progressively released hydrogen carbonate, which they equate to 15 meq/L, 750 ppm of CaCO3, or 42 d°KH. Those are their figures, quoted as printed.
- At the Standard rate — 1 ampoule per 120 litres per week — a box of 10 is ten weeks of dosing for a 120-litre reef.
- Pairs with 20 ampoules of Alka Reef+ over the same period, on Prodibio’s 2:1 ratio.
Prodibio supply this as sealed 1 ml glass ampoules. The glass is the point: it keeps the contents away from oxygen until the moment you use them. Shake the ampoule, put the cap over one tip and press with your thumb to snap it, then turn it open-end down just above the water, snap the other tip and pour.
Freshness & Storage
Every batch we dispatch carries a minimum of 6 months’ remaining shelf life. Store this product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap or inner foil closed tightly after each use.
Returns & Replacement
Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.
If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
