The D-D Jumpguard Multi Cut Out Set offers three cutout options for fitting your frame around light brackets, cables, or pipework.

ach Jumpguard Multi-cutout Set provides you with 3 different cutout options to allow you to modify the frame around any light brackets, cables or pipework etc.

Each kit contains:

• 1 pair of 15mm offset corners.
• 1 pair of 40mm offset corners.
• 1 x 40mm x 120mm lighting bracket or rigid cut-out.

Note:

Cutting into the standard square frame, especially on larger frames, will generally reduce the rigidity and we would recommend installing one of one or more cross braces, as required, to retain the structural integrity.

Setup & Use

What it is for. Modifying the JumpGuard frame so it clears light brackets, cables and pipework instead of fouling them. The offset corners let the frame step in and back out again; the 40 × 120 mm part takes a straight rectangular notch.

Before you cut. D-D's advice in the JumpGuard manual is to wrap tape around the area you intend to cut — the marks show up better against tape and the frame does not get scratched by the saw. Cut straight across with a hacksaw. Do the trial fit on the tank before you commit.

The alternative D-D suggest first. For cables running along the back or the sides, you may not need a cut-out at all: make the frame slightly shorter so a narrow slot is left between the frame and the glass. If the cables come from internal pumps, the rear plastic corners can simply be cut diagonally to let them out.

Cutting the frame costs you rigidity. D-D are explicit about this: notching the standard square frame — especially on a large one — reduces its stiffness, and one or more cross braces should go in to hold the shape. Without them the long sides pull inwards and the mesh goes slack.

The brace fits either on a T section (supplied with the 120 × 75 and 180 × 90 kits) or on the plastic brace clips that come with every model. The clips are inserted into the frame before the spline goes in and can sit anywhere along the length — so decide where the brace goes before you start rolling mesh.

Backorder & Dispatch Timeline

This item is stocked to order. Back-orders are consolidated and placed with our overseas suppliers once a month, on the last day of the month, and all such orders are shipped before the 15th of the following month.

Back-orders cannot be cancelled once they have been placed with the supplier. If you cancel before that, payment-gateway charges of 2% plus GST are deducted and the balance refunded. In the rare case a supplier cannot fulfil the item, we will offer you an alternative first, and refund in full with no deduction if you would rather not take it.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number — or email us, if you would rather — and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
