Feeding Guide

How much: as much as the fish clear in about three minutes. That is DiscusX’s own measure across the whole Pro pellet range, and it is the right one — it adapts to your stocking, your temperature and your fish’s appetite in a way that a weight per fish never does.

How often. DiscusX publish four feeds a day for the smallest post-weaning pellet in this range, and two to three feeds a day for the juvenile and adult pellets. This grade sits between the two. A growing-on fish being pushed for growth is fed at the upper end; start at three feeds a day and adjust from what actually gets eaten.

There is a feeding chart printed on the pack. DiscusX put a life-stage feeding chart on the packaging of these pellets, and that chart is the definitive guide for this grade — read it before you settle into a routine.

Where this pellet sits in the range. DiscusX build the Pro pellets as a graded series, and the grade is chosen by the size of the fish, not by species:

0.2–0.3 mm — first bite, for fry.
0.3–0.5 mm — fry and nano fish.
0.5–0.8 mm (Transition / GrowX1) — post-weaning, fish of about 4–6 cm.
0.8–1.2 mm — this pellet, for the grow-on stage that follows.
1.0 mm (Juvenile / GrowX3) — fish of about 9–15 cm.
1.6 mm (Adult / GrowX4) — fish over 15 cm.

Move up a grade when the fish are taking the pellet easily and have grown into the next size band. Feeding a pellet that is too small wastes food into the filter; too large and the smaller fish in the group simply stop competing.

Slow-sinking, and water-stable. DiscusX design these to sink slowly and hold together rather than breaking up, which is what lets mid-water and bottom-feeding fish find them without the food turning to dust. Discus in particular are deliberate feeders and need food that survives the wait.

Feeding it well: feed measured portions rather than by eye, and siphon out anything left after a few minutes. On a growth diet at this protein level the water quality cost of overfeeding is real, and clean water is half of what makes young fish grow.

Freshness & Storage

Every batch we dispatch carries a minimum of 6 months’ remaining shelf life. Store this product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap or inner foil closed tightly after each use.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number — or email us, if you would rather — and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
