Easy-Life Root Sticks are nutritious, iron-rich clay sticks that feed plants directly at the roots.
The Easy-Life 25 Root Sticks are ideal to feed plants directly at the roots. The product contains 25 pieces of special clay sticks that are very nutritious and have a high iron content. Due to the special pre-treatment of these sticks, they do not fall apart immediately upon contact with water. The release of nutrients goes very gradually over a period of several weeks. The water will not get cloudy at all, so algae cannot take advantage of that. The product is very easy to use and causes no additional water pollution.
Use these root sticks for plants with a strong need for root nutrition such as Cryptocoryne, Echinodorus or Lotus. If the soil layer is very narrow or the plant roots are small, the sticks can be very easily broken into smaller pieces. The root sticks can therefore be used in all cases.

Freshwater planted aquariums, and specifically the heavy root feeders: Cryptocoryne, Echinodorus and Lotus are the three Easy-Life name.
They go into the substrate rather than into the water, so they suit a tank where you want to feed particular plants without raising nutrients in the water column — which is to say, without feeding the algae too.
They can be broken into pieces for plants with small root systems or for a shallow substrate layer. Use them alongside a water-column fertiliser such as ProFito rather than instead of it: stem plants and floating plants feed from the water, not from the roots.
Push a stick into the substrate close to the roots of the plant you are feeding, deep enough that it is fully buried.
For a plant with a narrow soil layer or a small root system, break the stick and use a piece. That is intended — the sticks are made to break.
They do not fall apart on contact with water. The clay holds together and releases its nutrients gradually over several weeks, which is why they neither cloud the water nor cause an algae bloom.
Easy-Life run a dosing calculator at dos.easylife.eu that works the amount out for your tank volume.
One jar of 25 Root Sticks, each 55 mm long.
Because they can be broken for smaller plants, a jar goes further than 25 plantings in practice.
Keep the jar closed and dry between uses — they are clay sticks, and damp is what makes them soften before they reach the substrate.
Every batch we dispatch carries a minimum of 6 months’ remaining shelf life. Store this product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap or inner foil closed tightly after each use.
