Setup & Use

The canister must sit below the water line — in the cabinet, no more than 180 cm below the tank. It siphons, so it will not prime if it is level with or above the water.

Load the canister from the bottom up: coarse blue pad, then the biological media, then the fine white pad directly under the pump head. The fine pad is the one that clogs; rinse or replace it first when flow drops.

Fit the inlet pipe and spray bar at opposite ends of the tank, prime with the pump head’s primer, and check the double tap connector is fully open before switching on. Rinse the biological media in tank water, never tap water, and never all of it at once — that is the bacteria colony.

Compatibility

Freshwater and marine aquariums of roughly 120 to 350 litres. Takes 12/16 mm hose on the outlet and 16/22 mm on the inlet, which is the standard EHEIM classic sizing, so EHEIM installation sets, surface skimmers and inline accessories in those sizes fit directly. The canister accepts EHEIM’s loose media as well as pads, so you can set the media mix up however you want it.

Safety & Precautions

Leave a drip loop in the mains lead and use an earthed socket. Always unplug the filter before opening the canister.

Close both taps before disconnecting the head, or the canister will siphon the tank onto the floor. The pump is not designed to run dry — if it has been off long enough to lose prime, re-prime it before switching on. The impeller shaft is ceramic and will snap if it is forced; support it when reassembling the pump head.

Warranty & Support

This product carries a 2-year manufacturer warranty from the date of purchase, covering material and manufacturing defects. EHEIM excludes wear parts — impeller, sealing rings, hoses and filter media — along with glass damage, units that have been opened, and any unit fitted with non-EHEIM parts.

Warranty support is handled by us directly. Message our WhatsApp support with your order number and we will diagnose the fault first — most cases are solved by replacing a single part, so you rarely need to send the whole unit. If the item does need to come back, it ships to our Delhi or Pune warehouse, whichever one served your order, and courier cost in both directions is borne by the customer. Your GST invoice is valid proof of purchase for the claim.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number — or email us, if you would rather — and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
