Compatibility

Rated by Fluval for aquariums of 10–30 US gallons / 40–130 litres, freshwater or marine.

It takes the Fluval 07-series accessories — the Spray Bar Kit, the Surface Skimmer and the UVC In-Line Clarifier all fit — and 07 and 06 series media are interchangeable in it.

The canister sits below the tank, so allow 35 cm of clear cabinet height plus room to lift the motor head off.

Setup & Use

Put the canister below the water line, fit the intake and output on the rim, and connect both hoses through the AquaStop valve. Then work the primer until the canister fills — a few pumps is all it takes; there is no need to fill it by hand.

Water goes down through the vertical pre-filter and the foam first, then up through the media baskets and out. Get that order right when you load it: mechanical low, biological last.

The EZ-Lift baskets come out with one finger, so the routine clean is rinse the foam and the pre-filter in old tank water and put them back. Never rinse the biological media under the tap.

Safety & Precautions

Unplug the unit at the mains before putting your hands in the tank or opening it up. Water and a live mains connection are the one combination in this hobby that can actually kill you.

Leave a drip loop in the cable — a downward bend below the socket — so water running down the flex drips off the bottom of the loop instead of running into the socket.

Close the AquaStop valve before you open the canister. That is what stops the hoses draining into the cabinet.

Do not run it dry. The pump is cooled and lubricated by the water it moves, and a canister that has lost its prime will destroy its own impeller.

What’s in the Box

The filter with all its media included: Bio-Foam Max, Bio-Foam, Bio-Foam+, Carbon (2.46 oz / 70 g) and Quick-Clear.

Plus the AquaStop valve, ribbed hosing, rim connectors, intake stem with strainer, pre-filter basket, media basket with cover and handle, a 1″ / 30 mm suction cup, output nozzle, rubber hose connectors and the instruction manual.

Warranty & Support

This product carries a 3-year manufacturer warranty from the date of purchase against defects in material and workmanship, which Fluval extends to 5 years free of charge if you register the product.

Warranty support is handled by us directly. Message our WhatsApp support with your order number and we will diagnose the fault first. Most cases are solved by replacing a single part, so you rarely need to send the whole unit. If the item does need to come back, it ships to our Delhi or Pune warehouse, whichever one served your order, and courier cost in both directions is borne by the customer. Your GST invoice is valid proof of purchase for the claim.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
