The Fluval E Heater is an innovative electronic aquarium heater with a microprocessor that monitors and displays water temperature, detecting abnormal conditions.

Description

  • Innovative electronic heater for fresh and saltwater aquariums.
  • Advanced aquarium heater detects abnormal or non-optimal conditions.
  • Heater microprocessor monitors and displays aquarium water temperature.

VUETECH TECHNOLOGY for Precision and Safety

The Fluval E series heaters feature an LCD temperature display that indicates water temperature (Celsius or Fahrenheit) in real time, through a dual microprocessor.

The temperature readout will change color if the aquarium water varies by /- 1oC (2oF) or more from the pre-set temperature.

The screen will flash to indicate potential risk should the aquarium water temperature rise or fall beyond 3oC (5.5oF).

ADVANCED Features

PRECISE TEMPERATURE SETTING

With the simple adjustment lever the temperature can be set in precise 0.5 degree increments.

ADVANCED SAFETY

The integrated fish guard offers advanced protection so the fish and invertebrates do not come into contact with the heater core.

HEATER BRACKET

The heater can be adjusted or extracted without removing the slim mounting bracket.

The most technologically advanced submersible aquarium heaters available today. Fluval E Series heaters employ an advanced digital microprocessor to continuously monitor and display aquarium water temperature. Internal thermal sensor continuously samples aquarium water temperature for greater accuracy and reliability. Innovative color-coded temperature alert feature changes LCD screen color if aquarium water temperature varies from the pre-set temperature (Green = Safe Zone, Red = High Temperature Alert, Blue = Low Temperature Alert). Easy-to-use adjustment lever allows precision temperature settings in 0.5 increments and integrated heater guard offers advanced protection for fish and invertebrates. For fresh and saltwater aquariums.

Features:

  • Electronic Technology: Electronic monitoring system, thermal sensor, and LCD temperature display
  • Precise Temperature Setting: With the easy to use adjustment lever, the temperature can be precisely set in 0.5 increments.
  • Advanced Safety: The integrated fish guard offers advanced protection. Fish and invertebrates cannot come into direct contact with the heater core. The heater is protected against shocks from large fish.
  • Mounting Bracket: The heater easily clips on or off of the slim line mounting bracket or can be vertically adjusted for precise placement. The included adapter provides the option of side glass mounting when traditional rear glass mounting is not possible.

Specifications

Fluval item #A772, UPC 015561107723. The E100 electronic heater — 100 W, rated by Fluval for aquariums up to 30 US Gal / 120 L, and measuring 5 × 2.8 × 29.8 cm (2 × 1.25 × 11.75 in).

Fluval guarantee the E Series for five years against defects in material or workmanship under normal aquarium use — longer than the three years they give their canister filters.

What the display actually tells you. The LCD backlight is green when the water is within ±1 °C of the set point, red when it is more than 1 °C above, and blue when it is more than 1 °C below. If the temperature strays outside ±3 °C, the display flashes an alert. It ships factory-calibrated and factory set to 25 °C, and on 50 Hz markets — which includes India — it arrives reading in Celsius.

The sensing is internal. Fluval’s thermal sensor reads water temperature through the glass of the heater tube rather than the air inside it, which is how the E Series avoids the lag that a tube-air thermostat has.

Compatibility

Up to 30 US Gal / 120 L, fresh or salt water. Fluval’s rating for the E100. Above that, the E200 covers 65 US Gal / 250 L and the E300 covers 100 US Gal / 375 L, both in a 35.5 cm body rather than this one’s 29.8 cm.

Read Fluval’s own caveat before you size this by volume alone. They state that the volumes quoted are approximate, and correspond to water temperatures up to 26 °C with a room temperature of 20 °C. A cooler room, a tank with no cover, wide temperature swings, submersible pumps, or a tank near a cooling source may all call for a higher wattage. In most Indian homes the room is warmer than 20 °C, not cooler, so the practical effect runs the other way — a 100 W heater in a 120 L tank here is usually generous rather than marginal.

And the corollary, which catches people out every summer: Fluval note that if the ambient temperature is at least 1 °C above the set temperature, or external heat lifts the tank more than 1 °C above it, the LCD will stay red until conditions change. That is the heater reporting a hot room, not a fault. A heater cannot cool a tank; if your room runs hot through the summer, the answer is a chiller or a fan, not a different heater.

What’s in the Box

Fluval do not print a packing list for the E Series, so
this is read off the numbered diagram in their own heater manual, which
draws the unit and its fittings as separate pieces. It is a good guide to
what arrives, and it is not a carton manifest — if something below is
missing from yours, tell us.

The heater itself, as one sealed unit: glass tube with
the ceramic heater core inside it, the internal thermal sensor and
electronic monitoring board, the LCD temperature display, the easy-set
temperature lever on the cap, the watertight safety seal, and the moulded
power cord. None of these separate, and none of them is user-serviceable
— the cord in particular cannot be replaced or shortened.

The fittings, which do come apart:

  • The heater guard — the slotted outer cage that keeps fish and
invertebrates off the hot glass, and takes the knock if a large fish
    charges it
  • The adjustable suction cup bracket, which the heater clips on and off
without removing the bracket from the glass
  • Three suction cups
  • The side mounting adapter — the piece that lets the heater sit on
a side pane when the back pane will not do. Its arms clip into the flat
heater bracket; to use it you move the suction cups out of the heater
bracket and into the adapter’s own slots

What is not in the box. There is no separate thermometer
— the heater’s own display is the readout — and no extension
lead, controller or timer. The E Series does not need an external
thermostat; the control is inside the unit.

One thing we cannot confirm for the Indian carton.
Fluval’s own pack includes a printed instruction manual and a warranty
registration card. We have not verified that both are in the box as it
reaches India. The five-year Fluval guarantee on the E Series does not
depend on returning that card.

Warranty & Support

This product carries a 5-year manufacturer warranty from the date of purchase against defects in material and workmanship. Fluval guarantee the E Series heaters for five years under normal aquarium usage and service — the full term, with no registration required, and two years longer than they give their canister filters.

Warranty support is handled by us directly. Message our WhatsApp support with your order number and we will diagnose the fault first. Most cases are solved by replacing a single part, so you rarely need to send the whole unit. If the item does need to come back, it ships to our Delhi or Pune warehouse, whichever one served your order, and courier cost in both directions is borne by the customer. Your GST invoice is valid proof of purchase for the claim.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.

Full terms are on our Cancellation & Returns page.
