Seachem Discus Trace supplies a broad range of trace elements demonstrated* to be necessary for proper fish health and growth. Unlike terrestrial animals, fish obtain nutrients from both their food and environment. Trace elements are normally depleted by utilization, oxidation and precipitation, thus it is important to restore them on a regular basis. Discus Trace contains only those elements actually demonstrated* to be required by fish.

Aquarium salt is often used to add salts back to aquarium water. Some fish will tolerate this therapeutic use of salt; however, some fish are less tolerant. Discus as a species will not tolerate this elevated level of sodium in the water. If you keep live plants in your discus aquarium, the plants will not tolerate this either. Discus Trace is a well rounded trace mineral supplement that does not contain sodium and is used to replenish trace and ultra trace minerals that are demonstrated to be necessary for fish health and growth.

Compatibility

Freshwater, and specifically formulated for discus: it supplies trace elements without adding sodium, which discus tolerate poorly. Safe in planted tanks.

Dosage & Directions

Use 5 mL for every 80 L (20 US gallons) twice a week.

Supplies calcium, magnesium, potassium, iodine, copper, iron, zinc, manganese and selenium. Trace elements are lost to oxidation and precipitation as well as to the fish, which is why a regular small dose beats an occasional large one.

Buy the size you will get through in a reasonable time and keep the bottle closed, cool and out of direct sun. A part-used bottle that has stood open for a year is poorer value than a small fresh one whatever it cost per millilitre.

Freshness & Storage

Every batch we dispatch carries a minimum of 6 months’ remaining shelf life. Store this product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap or inner foil closed tightly after each use.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
