Fluval SEA Hydrometer

Fluval Hydrometer accurately and conveniently measures salt levels and specific gravity in marine aquariums.

Compatibility

What it is. A swing-arm type hydrometer, calibrated to 75°F / 24°C, the standard reference temperature for reading specific gravity, so a reading taken at a noticeably different tank temperature will read off even on a perfectly accurate unit.

Setup & Use

Keep the arm clean. Swing-arm hydrometers read specific gravity off how freely the arm pivots; salt crystals or film clinging to the needle weigh it down and skew the reading low, so rinsing the arm before each use matters as much as the calibration itself.

If a reading looks off. A stuck or falsely high reading is usually a trapped air bubble in the armature rather than an inaccurate unit. Tap the hydrometer firmly, or work a thin probe into the armature, to dislodge it before trusting the number.

Periodic upkeep. Soak the unit in a 1:1 vinegar-and-water solution for 20 to 30 minutes every so often to dissolve salt buildup that rinsing alone won’t remove, then rinse well before the next reading.

Freshness & Storage

Every batch we dispatch carries a minimum of 6 months’ remaining shelf life. Store this product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap or inner foil closed tightly after each use.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 48 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
