This proven and effective treatment helps kill aiptasia and prevents it from reproducing. When used properly, it is reef safe and will not harm corals or other inhabitants.

If you’ve ever had aiptasia anemones in your prized aquarium, you’d certainly understand how this product got it’s name! Aiptasia anemones can kill your corals and even small fish. They are capable of stinging and stressing even larger specimens that you desire. So why not just kill them??? F-Aiptasia Killer does that better than the other products on the market. F-Aiptasia Killer sticks to the aiptasia to deliver its death blow to the anemone!

If you have ever used other products, you may have noticed that it often causes the anemones to reproduce and you end up with more of them than you had before! So forget the idea about injecting aiptasia anemonies products that do not work. Use F-Aiptasia to eliminate them once and for all.

Directions

1. Stir this product with included stir stick and then shake well before use. F-Aiptasia does have a tendency to separate. Do not hesitate to use a small amount of RO/DI water in the event that your product hardens: it will not compromise the product at all!
2. Turn off all power heads. Using the included syringe, apply F-Aiptasia directly on to aiptasia anemone and completely cover it! Leave power heads off for 30 minutes or until product hardens. After several hours, F-Aiptasia will create a ‘shell’ over the anemone and trap it with the caustic product inside the shell. This robs the anemone of the ability to release reproductive spores in the aquarium!
3. Next time you perform your maintenance or 5 days after covering, you can simply brush the ‘shell’ away. AIPTASIA IS GONE!! You can remove the hardened shell a few days later.
4. Cover the anemones with this product and you will soon say F-Aiptasia like so many others have! And when used properly, F-Aiptaisa will not harm corals or other inhabitants! (DO NOT PUT ON CORALS!!! )

Compatibility

Marine and reef aquariums. Aiptasia is a marine pest, and this is a marine product — it has no application in a freshwater tank.

Reef safe, with one absolute exception: do not put it on corals. Frank’s say both things on the same line, in capitals, and they are not contradicting themselves. The product is caustic. Used properly — that is, applied onto the aiptasia and onto nothing else — Frank’s state it will not harm corals or other inhabitants. Applied onto coral tissue it will damage it. If an aiptasia is growing on the base of a colony you care about, that is the case where you should be moving the rock out of the tank to treat it rather than working around the coral.

No effect on water chemistry. That is Frank’s own claim for the product, and it is the reason the treatment does not need a water change afterwards or carbon to mop it up. It also means it will not interfere with a dosing regime.

It works with your existing equipment, but the flow has to stop. Turn every powerhead and return off before you apply it and leave them off for 30 minutes, or until the product has hardened. Flow is the only thing that can defeat this product — it works by sticking, and a current will carry it off the anemone and distribute it where you do not want it. Nothing needs to be turned off after that: no skimmer downtime, no UV, no carbon.

No injection, no siphoning. Frank’s list both as features and they are worth understanding as compatibility points. Injection-type aiptasia treatments make the anemone contract and often make it release reproductive spores, which is how people end up with more aiptasia than they started with. This one is covered over instead. And because the shell traps the anemone, you do not have to siphon a dead anemone out afterwards — you brush the hardened shell away days later.

It is coralline-coloured on purpose, so the patch it leaves behind blends into the rock rather than sitting there as a white blob for a fortnight.

What is not published. Frank’s give no specific statement about shrimp, crabs, snails, anemones you actually want, or fish beyond the general ‘will not harm other inhabitants when used properly’. It is a caustic paste. Apply it precisely, do not let a curious wrasse or a hermit crab investigate the fresh application, and keep the flow off until it has set.

Pack Size

1 fl oz — about 30 ml — supplied with a syringe and a stirring stick. The applicator and the stirrer are both in the box; you need nothing else.

Frank’s make it in two sizes, 1 oz and 2 oz. This is the smaller one, and for most tanks it is the right one: this is a spot treatment applied a drop at a time onto individual anemones, not something you dose by tank volume. Frank’s publish no ‘treats N anemones’ figure, and we are not going to invent one — how far a bottle goes depends entirely on how big your aiptasia are and how many of them there are.

Buy it when you have a small problem, not a large one. Aiptasia spread from a handful to a hundred over a few months. A 30 ml bottle used on ten anemones this weekend is a solved problem; the same bottle against a rock wall of them is a long afternoon and probably not enough. If your tank is already heavily infested, tell us and we will talk through whether spot treatment is still the right approach.

It separates in the bottle, and it can harden. Frank’s ask you to stir it with the supplied stick and shake it hard when it arrives and again immediately before every use. If the product has gone stiff, a small amount of RO/DI water stirred in brings it back — Frank’s confirm this does not compromise it at all. That is also the one reason to keep RO/DI water to hand for this product.

Freshness & Storage

Every batch we dispatch carries a minimum of 6 months’ remaining shelf life. Store this product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap or inner foil closed tightly after each use.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
