Dosage & Directions

Use 1 level measure (included) for every 20 litres (5 US gallons) of aquarium water. Repeat every 48 hours, to a maximum of 3 doses.

Before dosing: remove all invertebrates, switch off UV and ozone, and take out chemical filtration such as activated carbon or Purigen — they will strip the medication straight back out.

KanaPlex is absorbed by the fish rather than only acting on the water, which is what makes it useful for internal infections in a fish that has gone off its food. It treats dropsy, popeye, fin and tail rot, and septicaemia. When the course is finished, run activated carbon to remove it; it does not linger in the substrate or filter media.

Compatibility

Freshwater and marine. Not reef safe as dosed to the display — invertebrates are highly sensitive and must be removed, or the fish treated in a separate hospital tank, which is the better course in a stocked reef.

Expect the biological filter to be knocked back: this is an antibiotic, and the nitrifying bacteria are bacteria too. Test ammonia daily through the course and for a week after. Can be combined with Seachem Focus and GarlicGuard for medicated feeding.

Pack Size

5 g jar with the measuring scoop. That treats about 100 litres for a full three-dose course, or a 20 litre hospital tank several times over. The 100 g jar is the size to buy if you are treating a stocked display.

Freshness & Storage

Every batch we dispatch carries a minimum of 6 months’ remaining shelf life. Store this product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap or inner foil closed tightly after each use.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number — or email us, if you would rather — and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
