ISTA Hang-on Breeding Box

Setup & Use

What it is. A hang-on breeding box (ISTA item IF-647) that clips onto the tank rim, keeping fry or a breeding pair separate from the main tank without taking up floor space inside it.

Layout. Two levels — the upper section holds the breeding or mother fish, and newborn fry drop through to the lower section, out of reach of the adult. Comes with inlet/outlet tubes, an L-connector, a separation base and pad, and a levelling pad.

Circulation. Air-driven — it needs a separate air pump and airline connected to circulate water through the box; it isn’t self-powered.

Maintenance. Water inside the box can be topped up or changed without disturbing the fish, since it sits partly outside the main tank. It shares water with the main tank, so it’s a breeding/fry box, not a disease-quarantine box.

Compatibility. Works in both freshwater and marine setups.

Returns & Replacement

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer-sealed items cannot be returned once the seal is broken, and sale-priced items are not refundable.

If your item arrives defective or damaged, message us on WhatsApp with your order number, or email us if you would rather, and we will replace it. Approved replacements are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Transit damage is covered by insurance on every shipment. If tracking shows delivered but nothing reached you, tell us within 72 hours, which is the reporting window Indian couriers allow. Damage caused during installation or use is not covered; replacement spares for such cases are chargeable.
